Epicurus
“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is impotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Whence then is evil?”

Ludwig Feuerbach
“It is not as in the Bible, that God created man in his own image. But, on the contrary, man created God in his own image.”

Bertrand Russell
“I do not pretend to be able to prove that there is no God. I equally cannot prove that Satan is a fiction. The Christian god may exist; so may the gods of Olympus, or of ancient Egypt, or of Babylon. But no one of these hypotheses is more probable than any other: they lie outside the region of even probable knowledge, and therefore there is no reason to consider any of them.”

"We may define "faith" as the firm belief in something for which there is no evidence. Where there is evidence, no one speaks of "faith." We do not speak of faith that two and two are four or that the earth is round. We only speak of faith when we wish to substitute emotion for evidence."

Delos B. McKown
"The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike."

Robert Ingersoll, The Gods
“Few nations have been so poor as to have but one god. Gods were made so easily, and the raw material cost so little, that generally the god market was fairly glutted, and heaven crammed with these phantoms.”

"This crime called blasphemy was invented by priests for the purpose of defending doctrines not able to take care of themselves."

"Hands that help are far better than lips that pray."

We have but one life and one world from the beginning man has proclaimed war against his brother. It all started with Cain in the garden of Eden and has continued on to this day. We all pray for peace but we are quick to go to war. Even religions fight amongst them selves. This is a needless shame and Our Holy Father did not put us here to fight with one another our purpose is to love God and one another as we love our selves. Year after year we strip our mother Earth of her life giving natural resources, wasting what God has given us to sustain life. Mankind is vain to think this Earth is just for him, we must share it with the Animal and Plant kingdom without them life on this Earth would not be possible. Every thing has purpose and we are not one to decide what should live or die. We are not God but we are just a small part of Gods creation. Every thing on this Earth possess a soul and a spirit from the biggest creature to the smallest Ant. From the first second a life has been conceived it posses a spirit and a soul . There for any time a life has been taken whither it be human or animal it is still murder . The scriptures say thou shalt not kill for a reason. Every creature wither it be great or small has a right to live. Violence covers the face of this earth. And its up to each and every single person to put an end to it. Violence breeds violence but love doesn't always produce love. But we can end this cycle of violence with in our selves. When some one insults us we do not have to bring our selves down to their level. You can not change what is in that persons heart but you can help them to change what is in their own heart. The Bible tells us to turn the other cheek why? Because when some one hits you in retaliation our first impulse is to strike them back one blow leads to another and back and forth it continues. But by not returning the blows but offering a few kind words it stops the violence in its tracks. Then to clear our own hearts of anger we must forgive that person for their transgressions. Do not let their sin become your sin. Forgiveness is divine

Maybe Christians just have severe cases of ADD. Take for example this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Al4G9Os0PUrZ3.JsHNtvaunzy6IX?qid=20061027004238AAIAgdK She clearly asks "HOW have your prayers been answered?" not "HAVE your prayers been answered?" and there were about 3 or 4 replies with ADDers saying "yes they have." So is reading "just a theory" or severe case of ADD? (Notice I'm being nice by not adding the most plausible, imbecility).

That would be like castration and like removal of vagina for females. That is very perverse. Couples cannot love each other anymore? Why would God take away such a natural and beautiful thing?

allowing freedom of religion to florish and allow non believers and believers of other religions and beliefs to be able to have power, freedom, and choice?Should not all Christian's fight for a true Christian state where all the laws of God are followed and inforced? If there is something to hate and as your Chrisian duty to show people the way, shouldn't you be maing it illegal to follow any other path then that of what God commands?

I need to know because I have been really trying to understand why people would say love the sinner but hate the sin and try to make laws that address those sins.Yes, homosexuality is among those I mean.I have a lot of gay friends and I think they are wonderful.I only wish I could have the loving relationships they have.

Anyway, I need to know, if Christians are suppose to do the will of God should they not bring forth a theocracy to better serve God?

http://www.thebricktestament.com/the_law/incest/lv18_07.html

It is a website for kids teaching the Bible with lego men. This link points to the one on incest citing Leviticus code.

My specific question is:

Did Leviticus just over-look father-daughter incest as, hmm, a "minor indiscretion" not worth mentioning? Or, is it a Bible lesson that SOME Christians don't believe merits teaching?

My secondary question is - do you really teach your children this stuff? I mean, ha, no one ever taught me that beastiality was wrong, and gosh oh golly, I still know it's sick.

Religion aside please.

The nature of the Holy Bible been created consist with collections of different books, scriptures and gospels undenialble even by the muslims. The NEW Testament and the Old Testament is sent to us in different time in different generation. The gap of generations between Moses to Jesus is a very long period. But have you wonder WHAT iF the message doesnt stop there meaning there is another message that is sent again in another generation after Jesus. Is it possible?

GOD did mention in the Holy QURAN that there will be no more messages after MUHAMMAD(pbuh) and for 2000 years no more devine revelation is sent. This means that the Holy Quran is the FINAL chapter of the entire story of GOD. The whole sets of His messages to mankind is complete. Its like The 10 commandment period is the introduction. The series of the New Testament is the the middle and The Quran is the ending that summaries everything. Have you ever thought of this?
Tell me what do you think.

That tenet is "love the sinner hate the sin".

What I don't understand is exactly why is there a need to have hate for anyone or anything?I understand right from wrong and understand that we should not allow wrong acts from happening and if they happen then we should punish the wrong doers. But the act of doing wrong that we have authority to actually do anything about legally is defined by government which may or may not always be influenced by religion.

But what about those things that are not illegal by the law of the land. Why hate those things? Why have hate at all?Is not it also the tenet of Christianity to love? How can there be a contradiction to the very idea of having only love in your heart?

I "hate" having to ask.. lol

One may not believe in the Trinity and still confess and believe in the Holy Spirit and the Sonship of Christ Jesus. (By Sonship, I mean that He was both God and Man).

absolve you of your sins? And how such a feat, even if it were possible, can be seen to be socially desirable? Wouldn't we have enough crime and misconduct anyway without actively encouraging it?

I know that according to Christian beliefs Jesus had to die to open the gates of Heaven. But since Jews don't believe that Jesus was the Messiah, do they think that the gates of Heaven are locked? Or do they have a completely separate view of the afterlife? Any other information on basic Jewish beliefs would also be appreciated. Thanks!
