Premarital is not cheating on someone or decieving them and you are only with one person at once. I can't see how I am commiting adultery seeing as I am gonna marry the man I have sex with.

I wonder if two people on an island who were not married and had to spend their life alone together could have sex? lol
Anyway, people love to say what the rules are but very few follow them because they know those rules are either to hard to follow or are rules that really have no place in modern society.

Adultery is cheating on your spouse. Premarital sex is having sex before you are married. It is wrong in the Christian religion, amongst other religions. When two people get married they are bound to a relationship between just the two of them, usually bound before God and witnesses. To cheat on your spouse and sleep with another person violates that bond you created with your spouse before, it violates it in God's eyes. Premarital sex is wrong to religions because sex is a gift from God to married couples. Besides all that, if you don't commit adultery or have premarital sex you greatly reduce your chances of getting STD's or being a single parent with no support from the other parent. That sucks!

How do you know you will marry this man? What if something happens to him or you and the relationship doesn't work out? Having sex with someone you are not married to is very dangerous. Sex was made for a life long commitment. Also couples who live/sleep together before marriage tend to have more problems later... Are you a Christian? Do you believe in God?

Premarital sex isn't adultery. It's Fornication. And they always take it to the extreme when telling other people what they are doing wrong. (Not that I think it's wrong... I couldn't care less who you're doin). Just pointing out the word usage. *wink*

They are NOT the same. Premarital sex is just that, sex before marriage. Adultery is breaking your marriage vow's.

it's not the same... that is a misconception of many people...... in Islam they're distinguish between the terms adultery and fornication
while most religious ppl would consider what you're doing wrong and may call it a sin.... it is not adultery

premartial sex and adultery are not at all teh same thing. with premartial sex it is usually consentual and it is wanted by both parties only involving 2 peopple. no one gets hurt. with adultery... smeone always gets hurt and lies are told to keep the truth hidden. it's so many more sins wrapped into 1.

adultery is wrong because it breaks the marriage vows
if all you want is for people to say go ahead in what you are doing why ask questions in religion and spirituality? I believe you ask questions hear because you don't feel comfortable with your situation.
other people commit murder does that mean we should follow their example?
then does that mean that because society is geared up to sex before marriage and rams it down peoples throats that we should follow that example
