It is a website for kids teaching the Bible with lego men. This link points to the one on incest citing Leviticus code.

My specific question is:

Did Leviticus just over-look father-daughter incest as, hmm, a "minor indiscretion" not worth mentioning? Or, is it a Bible lesson that SOME Christians don't believe merits teaching?

My secondary question is - do you really teach your children this stuff? I mean, ha, no one ever taught me that beastiality was wrong, and gosh oh golly, I still know it's sick.

if i had been shown that site when i was a little catholic youngin i would of been traumatised.
i especially like the one where it says not to have sex with animals. especially when it shows the human, as well as the animal, being shot in the head for their unnatural acts. how come the animal got shot??? its not like the animal asked for it?

I briefly looked at your website. While the verses listed below are taken from Scriptures, I do NOT think that the site is Christian based in the LEAST! No children should EVER view this site! Nor should they be taught in this manner!!
As for your question regarding the father-daughter incest, in OT times humanity did not have the degradation that our sinful nature has wrought. In Genesis, when Adam & Eve brought forth children, incest was not the sin it became. As our fallen nature became more severe, the deformities & abnomilies that incest created became more & more "harsh" creating the reason for God forbidding the practice. Our Western culture views incest in a much different "light" than OT times.
While no one had to "teach" you that beastiality was wrong...where do you think that the moral codes written within your DNA system came from to begin with?

I do not think this is a website for teaching the bible... or a website for kids... have you even seen it all?? or seen the owner?? it doesn't look very biblical or religous if you ask me... what makes you think it doesn't merit teaching?? Of course... I would not chose this passage for a childrens bible lesson or a sunday school class... I'm sure this is for adults of course, and furthermore this is a passage from the old testament. Back then things were still pretty backwards and tribal, people were not exactly civilized, some of them needed to be told this stuff.. others not, just like there are parents who sexually abuse their children in present times... what makes you think that 3,000 years ago things would be any different??

Animals don't care what they try to do, ask my poor rain coat! and since we are animals no matter how much you deny it, nature doesn't care, and since nature+animals don't care nor do I, long as both are happy and no harm is don, Incest generates real harm to the off spring as it greatly increases the chances of sever defects of the possible children from such an action.

Just another clear cut example of why christian "moral" system is bankrupt, even if it doesn't do harm they think it must be evil with zero evidence or logic to support it.

And since the law only applies to Israel? Cool get me self some sheep! (BTW the sheep thing IS a joke)

"While no one had to "teach" you that bestiality was wrong...where do you think that the moral codes written within your DNA system came from to begin with? "

The above quoted is a patent LIE. Society, rather christian society, made that claim. It was considered a form of worship to the romans and to the followers of Eponia The equine goddess, and in some pagan rituals, it is coded in our DNA that any sex is fair game and all ways has.

It never ceases to amaze me the depth of ignorance some adhere to so strongly.

There need to be some bounderies set when teaching young children. That just seems wrong. Children learn by example.
The bible is an adults book, not all of it is suitable for children. Leviticus was meant as a guideline for adult behavior not children's behavior.

that website is a joke. If you read through it that becomes obvious.

The Torah was a law book for Israel, and as such, it had to include things like incest, just as our modern-day laws include laws against incest.

I'm not sure why Leviticus overlooked father-daughter incest. That is a good question.

It is not taught as it is written in the bible. but obviously we teach our children right from wrong I should hope that is the case with none Christians also. I don't think any one would teach that bestiality is right but unfortunately some men seem to think it is acceptable.. the fact its mentioned in the bible old testament is just making it very clear to Israel that it is not acceptable.

That site doesn't look like a serious one. It looks more like it's making fun of the Bible, rather than preaching it. Pretty silly.
