Christianity does not preach hate . But chrstians do . Such a situation is anyand every religion. Chritianity was the first religons to be spread by force with the help of state power through crushades . even to day the evangelists in the third world countreis decry the religous poractices of other aiths from street corners in a most uncivilized manner. But see what the priest is the catholic churches do in the Us . Most of hem are pedophiles, gays , sexual offenders , child molestors .and they carry such nefarious activities in the temple of God . what right havethese people to criticise the other religions ?Wil anyone believing in /god engage himself insuch activites ?How are the Atheists lower/worse than these priests ? .
the Muslim fundamentalists go about killing people allover the world and they calim authority of the quron for thier nefarious activities. So also the god men and preiests of othere religons thoug to some lesser extent do commit what the religons teaches as sins. Religious kiiling are practiced by people of other faiths too as in the case of the Murder of a christian priest and his son in alcutta in India . similar incidents in the case of other religons mustalso be there, though they might not have been reported.so religons despite its teacjhing of love and peace haveeenspreading violence , killings , hatred and rape all over the world . InIndia , one Muslim raped his daughter -in-law and the religious leaders have not taken any action against the rapist , but has declared decreed that the womwn should treat her real husband as her son and marry her fahter-in-law . Anothere muslim in singapore raped five of his six daughters born of his four wife and his reason for doing this was that the girls would might go astray if he did not do that , on the complaint of the sixth daughter , he was awarded a sentence of four years jail term.will the muslim clergies in this case would decreee that the man must marry all the five girls he raped and bless his with gifts ? so ther eare barbaric practices amoing people of all religions .Eithere the religons which were created by people in the barbaric ages are bad or they are incapapble of mending the ways of hte barbaric people . they donot contribut eto the welfare of the man kind now-a-days . Much moearocities should have been perpetrated by the religious practitioners in the past .Those who are enjoyingsuch previleges with the aid of the religons are unwilling to goive the advantages and are adament inclinging to them without taking any efort to mend the religous practicesin accordance with reason , decency , fairness and good behaviour.
No religion was created by god and man who created God created the religions for his purposeand each religion was creasted for some specific group of people and it is foolish on th epart of any one to force and expct others to accept thier own ideas and practices by all otheres in the world .One who is fond of meat should not force one who eats vegetable to change his diet to flesh and vice versa.wha satisfies everybody's hunger is food only . But all cannnot be cpompeeled totake one particularfood only . Evey body has his own taste buds .al people can not wear one particular shoe . each one likes his own style of shoe and many might like to go bare-footed .
The only policy god for all is thatone shall never do to
othes, what if done to himself by others , would cause pain. Thou shalt not do unto others what if done to you by others would cause pain to you. No more and greater Mantra is needed for universal peace and well being .

Bless you William R. This mindless religious weakling says that my premise for belief is far different from yours. I believe that God showed himself to man from the very moment of his creation. Belief was not an option but the knowledge of God's existence was fact. And that ever since that time man has the choice not for denying God's existence. But rather of accepting a relationship with that same God or rejecting it. And that choice has been the same generation, after generation, after generation. Also I believe the ancient accounts of man specifically from the Jewish sacred texts to the Christian texts that record God's intervention in the affairs of man. That account is a four to five thousand year accounting until the birth of Jesus Christ and the formation of the church. Now the church and the followers of God and the rituals and traditions are evidence that man can have faith in the impossible. And even to attain the impossible. There is no way that anyone can disprove te accounts that God does not exist. There has been no proof from science that God does not exist. Therefore based on these two premises alone, God does exist.

What Christians understand is that you love the sinner but hate the sin. Along with the 10 Commandments are God's instructions on the consequences of sinful behavior. God also has authority over governments he sets them up and breaks them down. The only type of capital punishment permitted in the bible is stoning. I think its a protection similar to the firing squad, no one actually knows which is the fatal blow.

Just to clear something up, nowhere in the bible does it say to love the sinner and hate the sin. Christianity is based on the person of Jesus Christ, who died on a cross to pay for our sins. Every single person who lives is a sinner. We cannot cleanse ourselves of this sin, only repentance of (being sorry for and turning away from) sin, and accepting Jesus as our savior, can cleanse us. Christians are told to love others, yes...but don't confuse this with condoning what God calls sin. Does this mean we should run around condemning people? No. But just as Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery, after He saved her from being stoned to death "go and sin no more". Christians know they are saved by the grace of God. They also know that to call sin anything other than sin....will not do anyone any favors.

This is really simple. If you HATE something you will stay away from it... for example... your father is a wife beater... LOVE your father.. but Hate the fact that he beats his wife... that way.. you will not repeat his behavior... for example.
The problem with hate is to hate someone.... I do not believe it is wrong to hate things... I hate it when my car breaks down... who's feelings am I hurting?? No ones... big deal if I hate that... I do however try to make sure I take care of my car so it won't break down....
The bible never says anything about hating people... only crimes and sins.... there is no contradiction about that. Have read the bible?? or only certain parts of it??

This is actually a modern tenet of Christianity and popular amongst evangelicals. To be honest I think it's bull. I'm supposed to hate pedophilia but live the pedophile. Personally I'll hate both.

Because God, having created us, has the right to set the standards. Just because something is allowed by the law of the land doesn't make it acceptable to God. In fact, there are many things that are allowed but are considered detestible to God. There is a HUGE difference between loving people and hating actions.

It does not mean hating anybody, but only things that are destructive in some way. For instance, I imagine you hate the very act of murder, even though you may not hate the murderer himself. Or you probably hate child pronography (at least I hope so!). The very essence of love I believe demands that we hate all that is opposed to love. For this reason, there are many things that God Himself hates, as He reveals in His word...but He hates no man. For God is love in its most perfect state.
And as for the legality issue, some things are legal in some countries that are illegal in others. For instance, prostitution is legal in some places and slavery was legal in this country at one time. Many people, I think, could rightfully hate many things that are legal in some places (things that lead us away from love)....could they not?

it is just not right to love murder, molestation, rape and the like. Loving in Christianity, and religions in general, has to do with loving humans, or other animals. Also, one can love the earth. But as far as actions go, I can't imagine why one would be doing a good thing to love evil actions. One should not love such actions.
