I'm the asker of said question, and I agree with you totally. I really wanted to get answers where people told me stories of how prayer was answered. If only they would read before replying. I think it is just people that want to get a quick 2 points on Yahoo Answers.

You were looking for stupidly and that is why you have found reasons to ridicule christian.
First, all prayers are answered in a multitude of different ways, Sometime you are given directly what you have asked for, Sometimes you are given something that indirectly give you what you have asked for, There are just to many different ways that prayers are answered. And some of them can be very difficult for a person to explain. Now as for your Question Not everyone including you, that can answer all question in the manner that it was presented. There are times that you have to answer a question in a indirect manner. Another thing christian are just people like you, and you will find that some can be very educated and some not so well educate. Another thing is when a prayer is answered, it can be a very private thing between that person and God. And to tell someone like you that prayers are answered is answering that question directly no matter how you feel about it...
Just try to remember that having your prayers answered can be a breath taking event mind blowing event........... Also no one is perfect including you...................

Do you go to other questionnaires and watch the way people answer the questions or is it "just a theory" that you love to do Christians an unjust?
ADD has nothing to do with it. I think it is called, trying to get more points by answering in as few of words as possible the same question posted over and over, but by different people.
I may be wrong, but I doubt it. And no, you are not being nice by adding it in the question anyway.

Oh they can read all right . they just can't seem to be able to interpret what they have read.
Still keep putting it in terms of today instead of what it means to the people of the time when it was wrote who were mostly farmers and herdsmen.
today's way of life is not the same as it was to them. they lived in a time when all things were done by muscle and brain and needed large families to get the work done. as compared to today when only a small minority of people work similarly but with mechanical help reducing the need for large families to get the same amount of work done.

"next...to ask "how have" over just "have" means she is asking what was your prayer in the first place and was it answered."
I think this answerers the question. They or just him are too stupid to understand the meanings of the grammar!
One is asking for the mechanism behind it being answered, as in what sequences of events took place for the prayer to be full filled, Just have means did it get answered with out the disclosure of how.
Too be honest I will not remove the spot where I called them stupid, I was wrong to do that, rather they simply have failed to pay attention to the wording and connect the dots, this is to be expected though seeing how most miss the point of their own book.
"Would you ask your question if you were standing before GOD? "
No, I would simply kick him in the groin and tell him what a total incompitant twit he is and then tell him how much more rightius my coffe cup is. It's 316 Stainless steel! It is truely spotless and pure!!!!!

Christians are primarily less intelligent than normal humans.
Many of them can rightfully be categorized as beasts...lacking essential elements which go towards making humans different from other animals. The ability to think and reason.
Many times have I noticed the same bleary eyed look in a christian's eyes that one could see in cattle before slaughter.
Sacrificial lambs.
Lemmings.
Also, you will find many more christian drug abusers, serial killers and child abusers. Is this the gentle hand of god which guides them?
How about the christian god being responsible for more war and bloodshed than any other entity...
If one were to believe the bible as a realistic history (as many christian beasts do), god is a very vengeful and unreasonable creature. More than a touch schizophrenic actually.
I wouldn't feel safe with this fellow wandering around in the clouds over my head, would you?
I vote we get rid of him and hire someone else.

I agree with the first part of James' answer. They can read, but they can't interpret. They'll look at the words in their bible, but what they absorb is the preacher/the sunday school teacher/mom/dad/whomever telling them his/her version of what it means. So they just skim over the words.
It's called impatience.

Well, aren't you the English teacher? And bias! With all of the grammar errors in this forum, why do you reference Christan's only?
Could it be that your own life style feels threatened by the Bible?
Would you ask your question if you were standing before GOD?

go back to school and learn some more, you lack much info.
first off ADD has nothing to do with the ability to read or not nor does it have anything to do with the study of the Bible.
next...to ask "how have" over just "have" means she is asking what was your prayer in the first place and was it answered.
check with the english department at school as it seems you must of slept through a few classes.
