Someboday say animal has soul that's why we should not kill it. But it is prove that Trees, plants, etc have soul. In 'Bhagavad Gita' lord Krishna say ', 'Mamin vanso jiv loke', means, I m in all.
So why should we eate vegitable ? because it is also alive . it has also soul.

Biologically humans are vegetarians, and it is confirmed by the legth of intestines, absence of long canines teeth, the way we drink water.

Nature has made plants for eating, as they are kept in sub-conscious sleep by Nature. Trees themselves wish their fruits should be eaten so that their seeds spread far and wide.

The colors of plants are to attract other animals to them ..to help them pollunate and spread their genes.

Plant are semi-conscious. When you kill a plant, its doesn't know, but an animal knows and starts crying out for help. In such a case, you are responsible for the pain it suffers.

For higher Yogis, even plants become conscious. That's why advanced Yogis only eat fruit/milk, and that too if its willingly given(fruit falls from tree, cow has fed her calf). But that is a difficult stage, and till you reach there you can eat plants.

Scientifically also, our teeth resemble those of herbivores. Our body cant digest meat, and absorbs it directly as muscle. This is good if you are a body builder, but bad for Yogis, as you are getting the characteristics of the animal you eat. People who eat meat usually have a high sex drive and violence, normally animal qualities.

If you are dont practice Yoga, you can eat meat, but if you are a Yogi, meat will stop your progress. Since the Gita was written for Yogis, meat eating is not allowed(Krishna says meat is Tamasic, as it causes you to identify with your body more strongly, rather than with the soul).

True that Nobody wants to die....even plants.

The tree has a soul and surely it is a sin to Kill it, similarly animals are also living beings and it is a sin to kill them also.

But the Trees are so designed by Nature that they give away fruits and vegetable only to reproduce and multiply....they want it to be done...its a natural process. More over in most of the cases the entire tree is not chopped its only the fruits which are being plucked.

Moreover the human sysytem is designed for being vegeterian,
also scriptures say that the vegeterians are more subtle and pious. For Eg. if U feed a Dog ob meat it is more ferocious that the one fed on a vegeterian diet.

Pls understand that Great people who propogated "Halal" the killing of animals was also due to the fact that Food was scarce and only for survival ...it was not for Luxury or taste. He said that those who do this act (sin) should think of God {asking forgiveness and asking this mercy (so as not be punished ) because it is being done out of necessity to Survive).

Bernard shaw on being asked to consume Non-vegeterian food said "My stomach is not a burial ground" to bury the dead.

Scientifically both plants and animals are having one basic unit common i.e. cell.

It contents are remarkably common except few like chlorophyl, centrosome, plastids, vacuoles etc. These cell constitute the whole body of an animal or a plant.

Now basic difference being its unability to create sound [ cry ] when broken /eaten /plucked, a plant or vegitable, can not make it eatable ethically and logically.

People eat vegitables just becoz they dont scream or cry. People drink milk which was actually meant for the calf and not for any other purpose. Where is their ethics ?

There may be a reason that blood of the killed animal makes them to have a guilty feeling, which is red and like ours becoz of hoemoglobin. But then the blood of plants, incidently not red, is as importan as red blood.

We love to kill kockroaches just becoz they dont have red blood.

The canines are the teeth which are not found in Herbivorous animals. The fact that canines are present in humen beings make it clear that humen are Omnivorous as the God meant us to be.

However for health point of view one should prefer vegitables though there are some protiens which can only be found in meat.

I read a lot but forget everything so can give you the reference from where I have read it but let me tell you that food chain is God's arrangement and everybody is dependent on others for food. Yes it is true that plants do have life and God is present in everything. Mostly, we human beings are sensitive creature and can't kill anybody while we are sane. So God has made an arrangement for our survival and made the trees reaction less. Yes they have life and it is very much clear but God made them kind of numb only because, we the human beings don't feel hurt and guilty for killing or hurting something or someone.

In order to live, we need energy.
Basically, our energy comes from food
whether it is veg or non-veg.
It is law of nature and there is nothing
wrong about it in regard to life forms.
As far human body is concerned,
vegetarian food is far more consistent
with it. We cannot absorb animal
fat, etc so easily and finally they
produce diseases as compared to
carnivorous animals. In order to live,
we have to eat. By being vegetarian sans
fat/toxic food, we are able enjoy a long,
healthy, active and happy life.
And forget the rest.

OK, something we have to eat for survival, but have you ever seen cry of an animal pulled to slaughter? Do it once you'll understand why we need to be vegetarian. And most importantly human being is the only animal with such developed thinking power, we should not compare ourselves with other creatures.

we have to eat. no question about that.. i really dont believe that vegetables have a 'soul'. Animals on the other hand, do but as a human being, we need to put ourselves first as our survival is more important.. As a member of the human race, you should also value humanity as the most important thing when it comes to the food chain.

He also says he is inside you as vaiswanaragni digesting whatever u eat. U can eat anything u get as long as it is in service to god and u have that bhakti.
There is a story of one rakshasa in vishnupurana who ate human flesh getting salvation as he did it only after submitting it to Vishnu(Krishna).
All is in ur mind.

Those who eat men's flesh are called beasts; those who eat animal flesh are called.....?

The natural diet made for man is NOT meat but vegetables and fruits. If I cannot give life to any one I have no right to take it away - and that too for eating.. oh!

How many of us have actually seen a goat or chicken being slaughtered? Have you seen them how they cry in pain? If we do, we will start hating meat.

Meanwhile please check your text for spellings. They are appelling.
