I have never asked this question (that I can recall), but I was wondering if I could hear your answer to the age old question, "what if you're wrong and there really is a God?"

Isn't it fine to say that God created atoms, that created everything else? Because as we learn more science I think for the believers we can learn even more about where we came from and God. This is my opinion anyway, does anyone feel the same? Can Religion be Logical and Logic be Spiritual?

All you Christians out there that wonder why every time a Christian asks a question there are about 400 responses from atheists need to remember that dogs don't bark at parked cars. I'm not talking about the crazy Christians out there that don't act in accordance with the spirit of Christ. I'm talking about sincere Christians who respond to all with love. When you pose a legit question and are immediately deluged with angry responses from atheists count that as a medal. If you weren't standing up for Christ none of the atheists would be wasting there time with you. So keep on standing up for Christ not just on this forum but as you walk with Him each day let Christ shine in your life. And EXPECT to be attacked for that. Scripture says "consider it pure joy" when you meet trials and are scorned for your belief.

The disclosure about gay and pedophile priests have left the Catholic churches in Europe empty according to a European nun at Pope John Paul's funeral. I know of two in my area have shut down due to lack of parishoners.

I'm a firm muslim interested in gaining more religious knowledge and have tried to make my obligatory prayers more serious since then. Any comments from islamic scholars ???

others who suffer in the world?

I asked another question yesterday that was about what you would do if you could be God for one day.I listed the rules of what it means to be God in the modern world and yet a few answers suggested that those rules don't exist and God shows his power and so forth all the time.
But if that is true then why has he sat on his heavenly backside and watched as millions go hungry or suffer from sicknesses? And don't give me free will. Those people, many anyway, did not have the free will choice to be in their situation.

Here is that other question for reference:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ApcLyt4dGXgZXGSHc2_wxLXsy6IX?qid=20061025140641AA5zW2o

So, why does this loving God do nothing for the major problems even when his own flock cry out for help?Or does he only show his blessings to people fortunate to be free of sicknesses and fortunate enough to have been born in the right part of the world with the right opportunities?

Come and taste the deliciousness of his supreme pasta-ness. Let his noodley appendages touch you, so you will know the truthiness of him who might in some small way be considered pasta in some way.
Don’t you see how much sense this kinda sorta makes?

I'm in a youth ministry class at college and I'm just curious what you feel are the needs that teenagers have the most these days? Would it be things like money or popularity or would it be more acceptance, love, value, and other things like that? Just asking. Let me know.

then why are they dominating this board? Not saying that you can't be hear, but if really don't believe in God, why do you feel the need to come here and make fun of those who do? I think that there is some part of you that does believe in God, but for some reason, you feel the need to pull away from him and bash those who do believe.

1) The only One True God (tm) is the Flying Spaghetti Monster
2) Therefore, all other religions are false and lead to the worshipping of Antipasta, the evil devil nemesis of the FSM.
3) Therefore, all christians, muslims, jews, hindi, buddhists, etc are devil worshippers and evil.
4) The only thing worse than these devil worshippers are the atheists. How DARE they reject His Noodliness?!?!?
5) And the only thing worse than atheists are agnostics. They don't even have the noodly backbone to take a position.

Remember: If you're not a Pastafarian, then you're evil.

Why? Because the FSM says so. That's why.
He said it.
I believe it.
That settles it.

Goodnight.

Seems to be odd that the greateast opponents to Mormonism are other Christians who profess a belief in Jesus Christ and the Bible. However in their answers and responses seem to answer with such hate that it goes against any christian belief? Same seems to apply to a handful of other religions as well.

“God” is not referred to in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights - neither are church, religion, worship - nor is *Christianity*.

US money did not reference God until the Civil War.

The Pledge of Allegiance did not include “under God” until the Cold War.

The US was not founded on Christianity. It was founded on the principles of checks and balances btwn the executive, legislative, and judicial branches; representative democracy; freedom of religion; and, separation of church and state. The structure is based on a mix of ancient Roman and Greek governance – not religion.

Why do so many Christians insist that the founding of the US was based on Christianity?
