Anyone have any statics? What are your thoughts? Do you think only having sex with one person your entire life would bond you closer to that one person? Does having sex with multiple partners make it easier for you to eventually leave your wife/husband?

What do you think?

The only way to be happy with your religion is not to question anything and believe everything you are told. And to have total faith in these lies. christianity has a wonderful message. I wish there was a God!

I'm always trying to get at the heart about why many of us seem to be overly focused on stamping out the sin of homosexuality but not other sins. Many reply to me to look to Romans chapter 1 and read Paul's words. Please understand, I'M NOT ARGUING THAT IT ISN'T A SIN. I'm simply trying to figure out why many have chosen to make it a priortiy instead of adultery, alcoholism or other sins.

The following translation (Eugene Peterson's The Message) makes the often convoluted passage a little easier to understand. It seems to me that Paul is more upset with sex for lust instead of love.

Romans chapter 1:

26 Worse followed. Refusing to know God, they soon didn't know how to be human either - women didn't know how to be women, men didn't know how to be men. 27 Sexually confused, they abused and defiled one another, women with women, men with men - all lust, no love. And then they paid for it, oh, how they paid for it - emptied of God and love, godless and loveless wretches.

If someone proved, without the shadow of a doubt, that no God or other diety existed, had never existed, and could not exist, what would happen? Would the churches fail, would peope continue to worship that which wasn't, would governments fall, would we have more or less wars (or the same number), would there be more crime, etc. I am not saying that there is no God, so please, no diatribes against me (e.g. "You're going to hell!!", or "Just because I believe", or quotations from scripture, or attempts to convert me), or other personal attacks. I'm looking for reasoned, thoughtful analyses of the social and physical ramifications of the absolute proof of the absence of a Diety.

a friend of mine works with people who are dying and those who are ill with recovery expected. And some waiting on a surgey but otherwise in reasonable health. A pattern the friend has seen among many of these people has made my friend wonder what is going on. Different people have describe smiliar experience of seeing a invisible world make visible with slightly different things going on. Most see people in the room busy doing things or sometimes people just standing over them watching. Some describe a tunnel at the doorway with someone inviting them to come. Others see family members and many see strangers. Never any fear associated with these encounters by the person. What do you think is going on????

If God wanted to punish a Satanist why not let him/her in to Heaven? If he sends them to hell then that would be giving them what they want!! Soo where’s the punishment in that?

I thought I'd just make an abitrary unjustified statement about atheists and their intellect. I think Christians are just smarter than your average Atheist and that's why they have everything figured out.

See how unreasonable this arguement sounds? Why do non-Christians keep saying Christians are simply stupid? You claim to be so knowledgable in science so here's your chance. Show me some real credible scientific data showing Christians are below the average learning curve. What studies have you done? How in the world did you measure it?

Or are you just arbitrarily spreading bigoted hate for Christians?

Does the pope do this? Some even nail themselves to a cross at easter (obviously, someone else is needed to bang in the nails). I don't this practice of self-inflicted pain is widespread, but what is the logic and how common is it?

Why do Muslim women have to cover their heads?" This question is one which is asked by Muslims and non-Muslims alike. For many women it is the truest test of being a Muslim.
The answer to the question is very simple - Muslim women observe hijab (covering the head and the body) because Allah has told them to do so.

Allah (SWT) said, "O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies. That is better in order that they may be known (as free respectable women) and not annoyed..." (Holy Qur'an, 33:59)

Other secondary reasons include the requirement for modesty in both men and women. Both will then be evaluated for intelligence and skills instead of looks and sexuality. A Muslim woman who covers her head is making a statement about her identity. Anyone who sees her will know that she is a Muslim and has a good moral character.
The Muslim woman who covers is filled with dignity and self esteem; she is pleased to be identified as a Muslim woman: as a chaste, modest, pure woman. She does not want her sexuality to enter into interactions with men in the smallest degree.

A Muslim school girl is quoted as saying, "We want to stop men from treating us like sex objects, as they have always done. We want them to ignore our appearance and to be attentive to our personalities and minds. We want them to take us seriously and treat us as equals and not just chase us around for our bodies and physical looks."

and why can't we build on that. we will never rid the world of religion, just the same as the world will never be all of one religion. two extremes. there has to be some common ground. i realize that there will always be the extremes with some people but you would think that there would be a majority of beliefs that people agree with and from there they could each have their own set of minor beliefs, with respect for others. some people will say we already have that but if we did you'd think there'd be less hate and violence in regards to varying religions.

This season on the show the players were intially divided by race, whites, asians, blacks, latinos.

What would happen if they were divided up by religion, ie atheist, christians/jews, muslims, hindus for example.

I'm not asking what would happen on the island, cause we all know players try and make friends and not get voted off, I am not asking about "who would win",

I'm asking, would there be the same media contreversy over it for that scenario as there was this year with the divisions based on race?
