The best way to be happy with your religion is to reject it. I don't know what wonderful message you have been reading about. People burning in hell? A God that punishes his own children with death? Jesus suffering for our sins to be forgiven? Why couldn't God just forgive us? All that symbolic crap, yes it is false, but what you have failed to realize is that it is also harmful. Just ask the Vitim's of 9/11 and the mentally ill that were burned at the stake.

Erm, tell that to the Jews. And the Buddhists, Unitarians, Quakers, neo-pagans. Plenty more I'm sure.
"Israel" literally means 'struggles with G-d' (it's the name given to Jacob after he wrestles with an angel) and Judaism is a 4000 year long (and counting) debate with text, tradition, each other and whatever one calls divine.
Buddhism centres on intentionally challenging preconceptions and looking through veil after veil after veil.
Both, when engaged with fully, are intense and challenging traditions.
One of the benefits of learning about other people's cultures is that it teaches that there's more than one way of doing things. If Christianity as conventionally practiced isn't doing it for you, then explore.

Welp. I don't blame you if you have that concept of Chrisitianity. I'd put it the way Jesus put it though. He was talking to some Jews who BELIEVED in this message, but then the told them that if they put his teachings into practice then they would know the truth and the truth would set them free. We won't know if something works until we put it into practice for ourselves. If it sucks, then try again. If it still sucks then cancel the contract. We always have free will. :o)

There's only one way to be happy in this life - and that's to choose to be happy, it has nothing to do with questions, or ignorance.
best wishes

the problem is not being happy with your current religion but to let the bible interpret itself and find a church that teaches the truths within not to let someone tell you what it says and just blindly believe it but to discover it for yourself
