"After people receive blessings that they asked for, very
few send back acknowledgments. "How does one acknowledge God's
blessings?" ."Simple. "Just say, "Thank you, Lord.""What blessings should they acknowledge? "If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep. You are richer than 75% of this world. "If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a
dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
"If you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity."
Also... "If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day. "If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 700 million people in the world. please count your blessings and thank jesus for all good and bad times

While taking my child to school this morning, God played all my favorite songs (Christian Radio). When I got home and ate breakfast, he beckoned me to read the Bible. I couldn't make it through the first chapter of John without having a good cry. I have no idea why I cried, God was just pouring his spirit out on me. I am a Christian, and know Jesus as Lord, what should I do?

Not me, of course, we all know where I would end if there was such a place. What about the naturally inquisitive who question everything. Would these types be allowed in heaven?

Would you let your creation destroy itself, along with your other creations? Would you allow it to become corrupt and evil, and have other false Gods?

Would you intervene and put an end to the suffering that they cause themselves? Why or why not?

Do you think you would still be considered benevolent even if you sent 5/6ths of your human creation to eternal damnation?

Having failed to live in complete accord with the Word, both looked for some excuse to feel redeemed.

Jesus, who lived in complete accord with the Word, did not have a need for grace and called upon His followers to live in complete accord with the Word as he did.

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 7:21

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)

Whose approach are you called upon to follow?

The Word of Jesus, or the words of Peter and Paul?

Try to explain what worries if any you might have if you had a seemingly unlimited supply of money.

Since this imaginary money was supposedly given to you by God I am placing the question underneath religion and spirituality. And I am looking for a deeper more spiritual perspective if possible.

I believe that the world is facing some really tough times ahead..As prophecy goes, we could be approaching tribulations of one type or another, as most of us are. I see world and personal problems intensifying, don't you?
So, my question is, how will your faith, ( whatever it is) help you during your trials?
Are you faithful or secure enough in your beliefs to get you thru the tough times?
Are you able to ( as some say ) "Let go and let God" ?
This is very hard for some, even tho we are believers, so in what ways has your faith helped you to overcome difficulties????
Do you believe in prayer? Has it worked for you? ( I do!)

In Iraq, quite possibly at the moment I'm writing this, people are being tortured with electric drills and skinned alive. Would you want there to be a god who thought it was a good thing to let that happen, and not intervene? Countless other atrocities are and have been perpetrated in this world. A god would have to be sickeningly callous and uncaring at best, and unspeakably evil at worst, to preside over such a world with all its horror and suffering. I just despair that people are foolish enough to believe in the existence of a god, let alone to praise and worship what would clearly have to be a monster in any decent person's judgment. It does not reflect at all well on the character of religious believers. We should all be grateful that gods are nothing more than a human fiction.

Welcome to the new USA. Under a new leader now, they are extremely strict about religion. All religions. In fact, you've been documented on EXACTLY what religion you believe.

And it's on your creditcard. And all of your information.

And there are a lot of police. Everywhere.

The only rule is that you have to keep at the beliefs of your religion -- or lack there of... otherwise you're sent to jail for life!

Every ten years you're allowed to switch religions... if your religion permits it. So, if you're in jail and change your religion 10 years after being there or whatever, and you adhere to your religion, you're set free.

So, state your religion. Would you end up in jail?

Is it a spiritual possession? Mental illness? I asked a question before about my neighbor's daughter http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ahtv5hOhQoYDlgN81Blu5mjsy6IX?qid=20061014073316AA54wng

and now, things are getting worse. I meditated on this last night after she left my home talking to me, and I know beyond equivocation that she is full of more bullshit than a Christmas turkey is stuffing. However, she has her mother so worried that she is now seeking a witchdoctor to "help" her. These clearly are marks made by a razor blade, all over her face, arms and neck...all places she can easily reach.

Why do people cut themselves? What spiritual void are they trying to fill? What are they trying to fill? This kid has a lot of stuff going on in her life, and I am certain her current state of affairs has something to do with this. It seems she wants attention, but why the hell would anyone slice themselves up to get that?
