I have a 9 year old daughter and there is no way in hell I would let her marry a pervert, that's not to mention the fact that I would probably be going to jail after I'd done bodily harm to him. I don't care what period of time it was, were talking about a 9 year old little girl. The man was a sick and twisted puppy!!! The man was a child rapist no matter how you look at it.

You are thinking in terms of today's world.....or, you are just being a troublemaker. People did things alot differently back them.

A marriage was usually arranged to create an alliance between tribes and families. The age was no matter as to the girls. It was a political commitment.

Now, to get your mind out of where ever it is, the marriage was not consummated till she was of suitable age.

You need to seek professional medical mental help...9 year old married ..UGH.. disgusting, perverted.
Ania is correct. You should have been more specific about what you meant as this is totally unacceptable in this day and age for such things to happen as we are supposed to be more ENLIGHTENED these days, and females are no longer bargaining tools or chattels.

No, but if you are reffering to another culture, that's just how it was-is in that culture. Everyone has their own set of morals, marriage at that age may not seem wrong to them as it does to you. For example, in America, you have freedoms that Americans think they deserve, but the Middle Eastern culture may not agree.

No. Also being "religious" does not mean a Real Christian. Real Christians have a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus - very very different.
