Quran 4:34: Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in their sleeping places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great

Even today people debate about who Jesus was, down to the Jehovah Witnesses, Muslims, Historians, Atheist... In general, who do you say he is?

Matthew 16:13-17
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"
They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ,[b] the Son of the living God."
Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.

If you believe God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one, do you know where this concept came from? Do you really think that this concept is accurate when it was decided upon by a group of men in a board room like voting session in the early first century? Do you really think you have the truth? Or did popular vote land this doctrine in the bible and not words inspired by God?

The Bible says different.
God is not a mystery, He was never a mystery to those who actually sought Him out. He has not hid anything from us, except the Incarnation, and that was only until it was revealed to us through Christ Jesus.

It seems everyday there is more and more reports of people murdering in the name of 'Allah'. Instead of a decline in terrorist attacks there seems to be an increase, and also an increase in the amount of different terrorist organisations that are formed in the name of 'Islam', and we never seem to see Muslims condeming these horrible acts. Well maybe the odd 1 or 2.

As a Christian I really don't want to put people in a bad situation with anything that I am offering them. So, I've gotten mixed views about Prepaid legal and I would like to get resolved. So far, both sides of the fence are equal so I'd like to present this question one more time to those of you out there who know what prepaid is and have had experience with it, whether you've been an associate or you've had the service for yourself or have even heard about it thru others. Should I get involved in this company as an associate? I don't want to put anyone through any unwanted hardships if I offer this program to people. Thanks.

She does not share in mediation. She is not counted as a mediator. She is not mentioned as having died on a cross, or ressurected on the third day, or ascended into heaven with Christ in the Bible, so why say she co-mediates?

So, the Catholic faith disagrees with sex before marraige. But did marriage even exist when Adam and Eve started reproducing? Were there priests back then to do it?? And if they weren't married, how can the church say it was OK back then and not now?

I have done a lot of studying on faith as social control (more in older European society). Churches used to force religion on people, and those who did not follow were punished. Do you think that this 'rule' of no sex before marriage was imposed by the church in order to control society (their sexual activity, birth rates, etc?) Or do you really think it stems back to Jesus Christ?

Mature answers please! And no mean ones either! lol... I am just really curious as to what people think about this whole issue...

Anyone ever wonder what these words were uttered that were taken back?

Revelation 10:3-4
3And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

4And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

something meant to be revealed later maybe? something inappropriate taken back? is it blasphemy for me to even ask? i am just curious and have always wondered. I know no one else knows either, I was just interested to know what/if others thought about it!

I have been looking over answers this morning and it appears that there are people here that have "lost their way" and have strayed from JESUS CHRIST. Some of these people also say that they know that they have strayed and hope that they have the strength to come back when they get ready...I don't understand the concept of thinking that we have control over when we come back to HIM...could someone please explain this?

At church the other day, my pastor informed the congregation of missionaries born and raised in Africa coming to the U.S. What do ya'll think of this?

I think it shows just have much of an oppurtunity there is to witness right here in the U.S. Christians shouldn't think they have to go to Africa, India, or China to spread the word of God. There are plenty of people that need Jesus right here.

someone suggested that people seeing things like Mary can sway people from God
i have heard this same thing be said about spirit communication

i find it difficult to believe that any appirition or sighting of anything that brings peace and love
and is of a spiritual nature
can be against God

can anyone explain this please ?

please understand , i am not looking for an explaination of why these things happen ... or a rude remark about seeing a psychologist
but i genuinly find it difficult to understand why so called spiritual people would deny a spiritual happening simply because it doesn't agree with their book

I am referring to news reports not about Muslim terrorists but about the far more mundane group of religious Muslims who happen to be taxi drivers. In Britain and Australia, Muslim taxi drivers refuse to pick up passengers who have a dog with them — even when the passenger is blind and the dog is a Seeing Eye dog. Nearly all religious Muslims believe that Islam forbids them to come into contact with dogs. Therefore, Muslim taxi drivers will even drive by a blind person standing in the cold, lest they come into contact with the dog.
And in Minneapolis, Minn., Muslim taxi drivers, who make up a significant percentage of taxi drivers in that city, refuse to pick up passengers who have a bottle of wine or other alcoholic beverage with them. This is significant. We are not talking here about Muslim fanatics or Muslim terrorists, but about decent every day Muslims. the imposing of one's religious practices on others.
