Anyone ever wonder what these words were uttered that were taken back?

Revelation 10:3-4
3And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

4And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

something meant to be revealed later maybe? something inappropriate taken back? is it blasphemy for me to even ask? i am just curious and have always wondered. I know no one else knows either, I was just interested to know what/if others thought about it!

Sure I've thought about it (I love Revelation - lots of very intriguing symbolism)! I have no idea (obviously) what was said.

It is porbably not something to be revealed later - The Bible says God has given us (already) everything we need pertaining to life and godliness. It is also most definitely not something inappropriate - It came from an angel helping God reveal the revelation to John.

Don't be concerned though, it is not at all blasphemy to ask these questions. In fact God doesn't get scared by ANY of our questions, and the biggest mistake a christian can ever make is to check their brains at the door, so to speak.

I think that God has a time for those words to be revealed and since He is the true author He chose what John would write. Maybe even it is something we couldn't be ready for just yet, but we will all know in God's timing and in heaven.
Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10

My mom always told me these spirits told John the end of time, and how it would occur. The Lord told him to seal up, and write no more. No wonder I am now a deist.

It's just a poetic device the author used to make it all seem even more mysterious.

"One day they'll make a film called the Godfather which will be really good. Then they'll make a sequel. But if they make a third part, it will be really bad and they will all suffer in hell for eternity for it."
