its like they have to try to do all they can to discourage people and ridicule others ..or it torments them that others have a faith..Is this not also prophesised?

Your question is thoroughly biased. Take a step back and rethink this.
First of all, most of the believers here do NOT have faith. Instead, they insist that they have evidence, or even proof of their supernatural beliefs.
Secondly, the believers do at least as much as the nonbelievers to ridicule others. The biggest difference there is that the believers' ridicule is itself ridiculous, while the nonbelievers' ridicule is usually (though by no means always) based on sound facts and reasoning.
Thirdly, the believers offer dangerous false hope in the hopes of snaring people and the only responsible thing to do in that situation is to discourage people. I'm talking about when some innocent young person asks "can I communicate with my mother, who died last year?", and the believers answer that yes, she can. That's terribly irresponsible and disrespectful.
As far as the prophecy...big f'n deal. How hard is it to predict that if you make wild statements in public people are going to ridicule you? If that's the kind of prophecy that convinces you that the Bible was written by a god, your standards for evidence are FAR too low. I predict that if you walk into a McDonald's and start shouting Bible verses at the top of your lungs, someone is going to try to stop you. Does that "prophecy" make me a god? Of course not - but that's exactly as silly as you're being with this prophecy stuff.

If you saw a bunch of people asking each day "How can I get Allah to listen to my prayers?" or "I'm not sure if I'm on the right path to get to Nirvana, I pray to the seven gods of the East every day!" I guarantee you would pipe up and tell them they were mistaken in their chosen faith. Guaronteee!!

what i find comical is the fact that we are accused as an entire group of trying to "convert" people ( which is nonsense) when it is them doing the same thing to us!! I just give them a thumbs down and move on...most of them aren't misled, or even here for intelligent debate...just to cause strife it appears
