WE kicked God out of schools, government, neighborhoods, and more. The country we once were is gone and is crumbling. When bad things happen, people blame God, but they shouldn't...we kicked Him out! If we tell Him we don't want Him, He will not force himself upon us. We need the missionaries. God Bless them!

Apparently you gauge the quality of the country by the number of people in the church pews.
To me it seems that things are not so bad: the crime rate is down; standards of living are alright (at least no one HAS to starve); people who want to work may have to move to a new location, but jobs are available; in spite of Katrina and a war, our economy has chugged along; teenaged pregnancy is dropping; the murder rate has dropped; and rates of child abuse and neglect are decreasing.
Naturally there are things to improve on: diagnosis of anxiety & depression has increased; hours spent working have increased, along with a reduction in free time; the division between rich and poor is expanding; there's still too much drug dependence; and the enrollment in universities of American science students is dropping.
If Africans want to send missionaries here to recruit Christians, in an effort to help us live up to African standards of living, then I hope they find that there's a lot here that is going well. America doesn't need saving; it needs tweeking.

When God calls missionaries he also gives them a burden of where to go. I know many missionaries who are here in the USA. If we have missionaries coming here then I say great cause yes we need them here as well.

Personally I think this is joyful and hilarious. I also think it's evidence of exactly the opposite of what you contend - not that there are plenty of people who need Jesus, but that he's served his useful purpose in the Western World, and now is only meaningfully maintained by all the people we worked so hard to convince of his reality when we actually believed it.

There is nothing wrong with that. We do not corner the market on sharing the word of God with the rest of the world. They too are given that same instruction by God, to do the same for us.

Our pastor also gave us this information about six months ago. Apparently those on the outside can see us more clearly than we see ourselves.

We've gone far, but not far enough. Perhaps someday all this religious nonsense will just be something read in history books.
