She does not share in mediation. She is not counted as a mediator. She is not mentioned as having died on a cross, or ressurected on the third day, or ascended into heaven with Christ in the Bible, so why say she co-mediates?

probably because of the tradition of the Catholics. You are 100% right. My husband was/is Catholic and he said he never got any prayers answered when he prayed to Mary. Now that he prays to God he gets prayers answered all the time. The people who pray to Mary are deceived. We need to pray that they will come to know the truth like we have.
The Bible says that there is ONE mediator between God and man and that is JESUS CHRIST------ Read it for yourself first Timothy 2 verse 5

To RW I say, read your Bible. Mankind does have a mediator. At 1 Tim. 2:5, it tells us who the mediator is between God and men; it is Jesus Christ. People who elevate Mary to mediator are going against what the Bible says. Jesus told his followers that no one comes to the Father except through him--NOT Mary.

I agree with your sentiment. Certainly, Mary has been too farly elevated in the catholic church. Near my home (Orlando, FL) there is a a church named "Mary, queen of the universe, shrine." That's a bit much, eh?

With that being said, we as protestant's often don't give Mary enough credit - usually as a backlash to "Mariolatry." The Bible says that she is "blessed among women," and that she was a girl full of faith. She had to have been to receive such a blessing.

Mary is not a mediator - However, she is an important woman in the history of the world and deserves a great deal of recognition and respect.

The next time you see a movie, watch the credits very carefully.

First, you'll see the name of the STAR of the movie.

Then, you'll see the name of the CO-STAR of the movie.

The STAR does most of the work, and pretty much carries the show.

The CO-STAR helps the STAR do his job.

Because both are important to the process, both get appropriate and proportionate credit for their work.

Ditto for Christ, the mediator, and his mother, the co-mediator (mediatrix).

Even a child can understand it.

There's lots more stuff Catholics know that Protestants don't.

So Mary is in basic terms a 2nd classification Mediatrix? nevertheless no longer consistent with the Scripture. there is in basic terms one mediator between God and guy, the guy Christ Jesus. Now permit's decrease the theology. refer to any 'ordinary' Catholic and ask them how they interpret all those issues that the "church would not practice." the great boys that head the agency comprehend precisely what their coaching will produce. It places Mary in power; because of the fact they see it basically like i could; with out revelation from God. ** Now right here i pass, pretending to be a Roman Catholic, and responding to the claims of Pastor artwork. "of direction i do no longer make Mary the Co- Mediator. yet, permit me ask you this: in case you % something from the son does no longer you pass ask his mom? after all, it is the way it works around right here." i desire everybody who reads this quite catches what the effects of this coaching quite is. i could additionally be conscious that James O calls him "stable Pastor artwork." could desire to we be reminded that there is none stable shop God and that we are to call no person yet God, papa or father. whilst Mary did have self assurance the know God and could constantly be conventional for that; she had to be converted at Pentecost basically like all of us else. in this earthly point she no longer in basic terms did no longer supply the egg, which produced the physique observed as Jesus, however the Lord pronounced her the mummy of John on the pass. lady behold your son; son behold your mom.

I'm Southern Baptist and Mary ain't got nothing to do with my prayer or anything else for that matter. I go directly to God if I have a problem or whatever and I thank God for the things He has giving me.

why would one try to have a mediator at all?

no Mediator is needed, so why do some try to make Jesus, or anyone else a Mediator?

who told you that a mediator was needed? why do you trust their authority so thoroughly? does it make sense that God would not talk to you personally?

Mary is just one more excuse the church uses to collect money from people. Give them some money and they will pray to Mary for you. What a scam.

i have to agree with Jay
i feel she is a medium
ok so it differs from your own belief
but many people even outwith catholicism believe in spirit mediums ... a means to connect with the highest , through a lower
actually even scientifically it would make sense to do so ... in my own weird scientific mind ( i wont go into that though lol )
