While taking my child to school this morning, God played all my favorite songs (Christian Radio). When I got home and ate breakfast, he beckoned me to read the Bible. I couldn't make it through the first chapter of John without having a good cry. I have no idea why I cried, God was just pouring his spirit out on me. I am a Christian, and know Jesus as Lord, what should I do?

Keep a sensitive spirit.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous face many troubles, but the LORD rescues them from each and every one.

Good for you, honey. I"m glad you have such a religiously fullfilled life. THat's rare these days. And never mind the haters on here, you're perfectly fine the way you are. I cry reading the bible too (normally when I read the crucifixion parts.)

A prominent theologian once said that achieving a solid prayer life is an on going task. But, only the mystic can be moved to tears by prayer. You are truly blessed!

I've heard my favorite songs on the radio too, is god a DJ at other stations too?

It's amazing what we can talk ourselves into.

The main reason people buy into the religious myths is because it is geared to stir emotions. It wasn't any god pouring any "spirit" out to you. It was you being too caught up in religious superstition.

You don't have to do anything, just let the Holy Spirit guide you in the way He wants you to go.
