Having failed to live in complete accord with the Word, both looked for some excuse to feel redeemed.

Jesus, who lived in complete accord with the Word, did not have a need for grace and called upon His followers to live in complete accord with the Word as he did.

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 7:21

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)

Whose approach are you called upon to follow?

The Word of Jesus, or the words of Peter and Paul?

I always put Jesus's words ahead of Peter or Paul's. I just read Matthew 7:13-29 and Matthew 5:43-48, and a whole lot of other verses. Wow, this really opened up a can of worms for me. I never thought to look at salvation strictly by what Jesus said. It really seems to me that Jesus said we're saved by works. Am I wrong? Does Jesus also speak elsewhere about salvation, and how to attain it? This is so bothersome. I wish the Bible just laid it out in a straightforward manner with nothing extra needed. Maybe it does, but why would Paul emphasize faith, when Jesus didn't seem to? Please e-mail me with any other scriptures you might have about what Jesus said about this.

It is better to emphasize the marriage of good and truth and the resultant action on the universe. This trinity is the same as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and the trinity of charity, faith and good works.

The marriage of two things and the resultant action.

End, cause and effect.

Well we can't be perfect and Peter and Thomas and Paul, and King David and many more was great examples as to why we can't. They was in the flesh as we are in the flesh as well. The had trouble with this old rotten flesh like we do. We must strive to be perfect, and walk as close to God as we can.

you're top approximately all of the above Scripture. they are all waiting for the Resurrection. they are all ineffective interior the grave, asleep. no person is in Heaven at the instant, different than possibly Enoch, who become taken to Heaven alive, and probable Elijah and Moses, for the reason that they have been the two seen with Christ on the Mount of Transfiguration. I additionally agree that the comma interior the verse above become lost. in case you place it in the past "on the instant", it would not consider something of Scripture. in case you place it after "on the instant", it consents with Scripture. additionally do not forget that the unique Greek and Hebrew did not use commas - those have been inserted later whilst it become translated to English.
