"mother mary" does appear in muslim community. In this way, I agree with Mahira's response. However, Mahira is mistaken in saying that Christians worship mary as an idol. Catholics do this, NOT Christians. (One of the big differences between Cath and Chrstn)

Well I am a Christian and 'Mother Mary' as you call her has never appeared to me....and we would have made it just fine if the Bible had never even mentioned the name of Jesus mother...Jesus was our Savior....not Mary....

Supposedly she did...

Mother Mary is very important to the Islamic religion. But only the christians/catholics worship her likeness like an idol and hallucinate seeing her in the clouds and the rock formations.
