Deaf is absence of life. Jesus referred to death as a sleep. When Lazarus died, He told His disciples that Lazarus fall asleep. He didn’t say Lazarus in heaven. See John 11:11-14. Over 50 times Bible compares deaf as a sleep. Christians go to heaven after resurrection from the death at last day. See I Thess.4:15,16. Martha, one of Jesus followers, understood it correctly. See John 11:24.

Recorded in Luke 23:43, Jesus said to the thief on the cross right next to him, "Today you will be with me in Paradise." The thief had just confessed his belief in Jesus that very moment and only had moments before his body would die.

I believe that God allowed this account to be recorded as encouragement for us, that we would know that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8) ~selah

PS: Any time you come across the word, "Sleep" in the Bible, use your Concordance and look up the original Greek or Hebrew and you will discover the intended meaning, usually meaning DEATH, which was often referred to as SLEEP.
Just as having sex is often referred to as "knowing" one another. A Concordance is most helpful when studying the Word of God, unless you are blessed with knowing Greek and Hebrew along with your native translation of the Scriptures. :)

For the first time in your life, two spirits that followed you all of your Christian life disappear : 1. the spirit of religion and 2. the spirit of untruth. The spirit of religion allowed you to to worship God, not His way, but your way--that is why there are so many so-called religions---rebellious man wanting to fashion a God after his own liking and likeness. Had we been listening to the spirit of truth, there would have been no wars, no racial hatred, no theft, no lies, no deceit, and no hypocrisy. There would have been no poverty, because as soon as we collect the tithes, we would see to it that the needs of the poor are met. The most important scriptures that every religious person would memorize and live daily--Christians, Jews and Muslims would be:
1. Whatever we do to the least of these, we do unto ourselves.
2. Do unto others as you would them do unto you.
3. Love the Lord God with thy whole heart and mind and self.
4. Love they neighbour, friend, enemy and especially thy Abrahamic seed the way our covenant Father specifies.
I am addicted to this professor's teachings:www.trafford.com/4dcgi/robots/04-2126.html
It is the first book I have seen that frightens the entire religious community. You know the reason: He vets the history of every religious expression to prophecies and Torah codes.

If you were a christian, you would know the answer to that question. So I am recieving the impression that you are not.

When you become born again through accepting Jesus as the one who died on the cross for your sins, and you repent of those sins, you no longer go to hell, but spend eternitiy in the kingdom of God.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:15-16 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Here is your way to obtain salvation. If you want to accept Christ, you can ask Him to be your Savior and Lord by praying a prayer like this:

"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always." In the precious name of Jesus, amen

Did you pray this prayer? I pray your answer was YES

There are many Scriptures that help us to see what happens to us when we die.
Animals and people experience the same thing as stated at Ecclesiates 3:19,20--"For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again."
Psalm 146:4--"His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish."
Eccl 9:5--"For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten." (This means that people still living cannot help those who die, they cannot reward them and eventually the memory of those who die are forgotten. They are not forgotten by God though for he holds all those who die in his memory and soon all will be resurrected back to life. The fact that we do not dwell on those who die is helpful so that death is not something thought about constantly, for if that were to happen, who could stand the pain of losing loved ones? God helps us to cope with our sadness this way. )
Eccl 9:10--"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."(This also helps us to see that the dead feel neither pain nor pleasure)
Death is likened to being asleep. Psalm 13:3--"Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death."
Because of Jesus sacrificing his life for us, death is a temporary condition and many who are now sleeping in death will be brought back to life here on earth. Jesus himself will do this-- "I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man. "Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out—"(John 5:25-29) NIV
A small number of spirit anointed Christians are awarded life in God's heavenly government where they will reign as kings and priests. They faith must be fully tested before they can recieve that reward. They must endure persecution and hatred till the end for as Jesus said--" And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." (Matthew 10:22)
I hope this helps you to see what the Bible teaches us regarding death.
