It seems the religious catagory unlike the other sections of Q&A has become a place where people don't feel the need to restrain themselves. The questions are no longer questions but are excuses to attack. That is ashame. since so much could be learned from both sides. I personally would enjoy learning and having respectful disagreements with opposing views. If more people would stop answering and responding to these out landish remarks, maybe they would get tired of posting rude questions. I personally have lost hope and interest in this catagory. Please give me a response or point of view that would help me to see this different.

I've seen so many answers where they claim to be peaceful & kind. Where are those people? All I ever see on here are people trying to be mean to Christians on purpose. If you don't believe in God, then why do you spend so much time & energy talking about Him?

was christian's interpretation re jesus resurrection n ascension according to Bible is wrong? please advise me..

The greatness of Jesus should not be based on His physical Ascension, because it is written in the Bible.

That several minor prophets for example Enoch (Hebrews 11:5) and Elijah were also taken bodily into heaven.

“By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see the death; and he was not found, because God had taken him” (Hebrews 11:5). >>> Jesus was not the only one that went bodily to heaven after His resurrection.

The gospel of Matthew: The Ascension is not mentioned. The story ends with the promise of Jesus: “I am with you always, to the close of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)

Peter also had that understanding. They had understood correctly when Jesus spoke of heavenly things when He said “I will rise again”. Jesus talks about “the rise of His spirit not of the body”.

Is this not a great business Idea? MOBILE BIKINI WAXING? We come to your house and wax you in privacy?
I think this could be the business idea of the decade. Does anyone want to invest som captial into making my dreams come true? Would you as a consumer, order this service if it was just as affordable as doing an in shop wax? Plus think of all the cooters I would get to wax.

That one nation under God crap has to go.... we are NOT a Christian country. This country was founded on freedom from religious oppression from England. Time to remember that.

I was born Baptist and am going through RCIA to become Catholic, so far in the "actual" teachings of the Bible and Jesus and God are exactly the same. All that is different is the traditions of Catholics. Like doing the same thing all the time. I really don't see much difference in the actual religion part.......Does anyone disagree or agree with me?

If we let it happen that a religious war between Moslims and Christians starts, is it true that, in fact we will all be loosers?

just in case, and have an eternity of beer volcanoes and stripper factories, than to not believe, and be sent to hell? Is that a gamble you're willing to take?

Was This A SIgn From God?

A year or so ago I was going through rehab. I was going through a really hard time and I was in the middle of the desert with a group of other people who were going through the same thing as I was. We were in group, talking about our faith in God or a "Higher Power.." I said that I wasn't sure if there was a God or if He could hear my pleas or if He even cared or loved me at all.

I have never been the one to go to chuch because I was never taught about God. I've always been curious though. Anyways, we were all talking, and after I said "I'm not sure what I believe in because I feel that the God of my understanding doesn't hear me or care about me, he never answers me or shows me a sign - - he hates me."

My friend says she is wiccan or pagan. The Bible says thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. What should I do? I've tried talking to her and she says don't worry, but I know she is going to Hell, and I know I shouldn't let her continue being what she is. Please help!

My husband really wanted to take me and our kids to church, as he grew up in a religious catholic family. I'm part Jewish part Anglican(?) and I was wondering what to expect. I used to go to synagogue as a child, but I was wondering just some basics. What to wear, any customs, any things I should know?

if it does-- it's obvious then that the people in Heaven are aware of what happens here on Earth so what do you think is so wrong with asking them to pray for us?

People say Jesus was a Liberal or a Conservative. Thats cant be. If jesus was like that he would be doing exactly what the Bible says you shouldnt do, arguing. Jesus ould be commiting a sin. And he cant do that so everyone saying he was a Conservative or Liberal is wrong.
And there werent any politicial parties around that time either.
Do you agree?

After that I saw this ball of light come from the skies. It was like this giant ball of light that was MANY miles away. It came from between this gap in the clouds and went across the horizon for a few seconds and then I didn't see it anymore.. Was this a sign from my God?

I was listening to the radio in the car (on a 9 hour road trip) the other night, and in the midst of my husband's snoring, I thought I heard someone say that Dr. James Dobson is going to run for president. Did anyone else hear this?
