You know in reality..........the God of Christianity and Islam is the same.....even with the Jews too
Where the problem comes in is that the Muslims do not believe that Jesus is our Savior(the Jews also.....so go figure on why they can't get along if they are on the same page with Jesus)
Mohamed was not a prophet in my eyes and in fact the Quran was written from alot of texted from the Bible.
so no I can not agree with the Muslim religion

No, Christians generally don't see Mohammed as a prophet. As we understand a prophet is one bringing teaching and knowledge from God to His people. Also a test of a true prophet of God won't contradict the earlier teachings and messages of other prophets. If we have 500 yrs of prophets and teachers saying "X" and one comes along and says "X" is wrong we would say the last prophet was not a true prophet.
We believe Mohammed was a mortal man without a special relationship with God

If Christians believed "Islam religion," they'd be Muslims, not Christians.
I don't know if Mohammed was a prophet, but he certainly might have been. But when conversations between God and humans get conveyed to other humans, something is ALWAYS lost in the translation.

I think Mohammed was 500 years after Christianity was invented, though i cant say for sure. I don't think Christians believe in Mohammed as a prophet at all.

Listen! I have thought about this. I believe wholy in the Bible (and only in it) and Jesus is my Lord and Savior. Let us not be decieved. Satan rules the earth. Our bodies suck and cannot defend itself against him. I believe Mohammed was a prophet yes. I believe he was given many messages and was in God's plan to use, but was overtaken by Satan after God revealed a plan for him. Just read their book! It is the Bible without Christ. It is their Bible without Israel. It is their beliefe in what the Bible expalins in Revelation as an Anti Christ. People! How long must your eyes be shut and your hearts be hard. If you need more proff, I leave you with this. Mohammed is Islams Chirst and the Bible says this about that:
"Watch out that no one decieves you. Many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and will decieve many. When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdoms angainst kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the begining of birth pains.".........Mark 13:5-8
Come Lord soon! I pray you come and deliver us! First I pray that you work on hardend hearts Father!

He was not a prophet of God. The one thing all prophets of God have in common is that they all have for told or tell about Jesus Christ and that he is the only way. He may have been a prophet of another kind, but not of God. Just as the old testament talks about prophets of other Gods so was Mohamed such a prophet.

Atheist Eye Candy,
By my definition of a prophet- what he says comes true, and that he gave a message that could not have been given except by a revelation from God, no.
Mohammed was no more a prophet than Adolf Hitler, of Sadaam Hussein, or Mao Tse Tung, or the leaders of the USSR, or the Nazi generals of Nazi Germany.
Mohammed's message will lead many to Hell. All Muslims are Muslims that have been decieved and are without truth, thanks to him. He has been responsible for generations of damned people.

Christians do not agree with Islam. We see Mohammed as a FALSE prophet: spreading lies told to him by an evil spirit.

proph·et (prft) KEY
NOUN:
A person who speaks by divine inspiration or as the interpreter through whom the will of a god is expressed.
A person gifted with profound moral insight and exceptional powers of expression.
A predictor; a soothsayer.
The chief spokesperson of a movement or cause
Apparently he was indeed a prophet but I cannot say I agree totally with Islam as I do not believe Christ was a mere prophet. I do not however have any problem or disagreement with those who follow Islam. They seem to genuinely believe in their faith and it gives them a closer walk with God. Not my faith but to each their own.

prophet: a person who speaks for God or a deity, or by divine inspiration.
No because christians believe the bible. And Mohammad teaches things that are contrary to it.
And if something(let's say the bible) is true, then what contradicts it would be false. And the man who claims to be a prophet and teaches falsehood, would be what the bible calls a false prophet.

and you guys call Muslims intolerant?
Muhammed (p) did not know how to read and write and the first Arabic Bible was written 200 years after he passed away so go figure.
We do not worship Muhammed (p) either because he is not God. He was a man, a human being just like Jesus (p) and both are Prophets of God.
some of you guys contradict yourselves. Moses said the law cannot be changed. Paul says the law is wiped out with Jesus blood. Who changed the law?
