I've seen so many answers where they claim to be peaceful & kind. Where are those people? All I ever see on here are people trying to be mean to Christians on purpose. If you don't believe in God, then why do you spend so much time & energy talking about Him?

It is because without Christ, they have a void In their life. The fact that they are controlled by the ruler of this world (who hates Christians) causes them to want to hate Christians also.

You are right that some atheists here are pretty mean spirited. And I've responded meanly to a few questions here where I thought the asker phrased the question in a way that was particularly disrespectful of atheists. But I've see lots of very considerate, thoughtful replies by atheists. Haven't you?

I'm here because I don't want the U.S. to swing any further towards becoming a Christian theocracy. If Christian's in the U.S. will go back to supporting the 1st ammendment of the constitution, and stop supporting a corrupt republican party, then I'll be happy to let Christians be. Even though most of them will continue to think that I am a "God hater". (I'm not. Do you hate Zeus or the Flying Spaghetti Monster? No? Well, then I don't hate your God for the same reason.)

I think much the same could be said of many of the Christians here.
My experience has been that Atheists have grown up with extraordinarily religious families who have used religion for evil, as excuses for misdeeds, and as excuses for hurt. That leads some people to become angry with the religion rather than the
person who was misusing it (usually a parent).
Religion is a matter of faith in what we don't know. Faith is scary and seemingly simple.... and sometimes seemingly simple minded. How do I know G-d is there? Well,a person of faith might say because I see him everywhere. To an Atheist it might seem simpleminded; they'd tell you about the science of the world.
I think both views are right- in each others mind. It's when one tells the other theirs is the only way of seeing it that we get into trouble. Maybe G-d gave us the abilities of science; maybe we created G-d.
You won't know till the end.

I am not a Christan but I do agree with what you are saying about atheists. What I think is they know that their is a higher power they just don't know how to handle the unseen or the don't know which religion is right. So they talk about it alot a maybe God will lead them to what is right or to something that makes the feel better then just not believing in nothing at all. Because if they are so logical they can't help but to think about this and question themselves.

As an atheist (agnostic) I have spent far more time studying and pondering religion than 90 percent of you so called "religious". I am a member of the only religion on earth that speaks the honest truth. Christian, Jew, Buddhist, or whatever you are,we all have one thing in common. NOBODY has any idea of what the truth is. I'm just willing to admit it. If there is such a thing as God, I think he would respect the honesty.

Good question! I believe its fear of the unknown. They hate us and they hate God but Jesus said that this would happen and I'm sure it will get worse before its get better because of Christ. In my opinion, I believe that they are living a lie by compromising their non-belief system which means they don't believe in God or religion but they strangely come to a religious forum and ask God questions, evangelize or convert and answer religious questions. I have met some beautiful true atheists that do not come to this section daily and they don't convert but live and let live and they respect my beliefs. They have no interest in religion at all.

Good point. I think they spend so much time here because they're looking for something to believe in & they may find it here & if they don't then they probebly figure that they might as well shake some people up since they don't have anything better to do. Think about how lost & alone you would feel if you didn't have God to believe in. I know I would. Let them have there fun, they're really only hurting themselves in the long run. When someone say that they are atheists I always think they're either going through some wierd as$ gothic phase or something really terrible must have happened to them & they have no one else to blame in their life so they blame God. I think most are just lost souls on a road to no where with something to prove.

I have a thing against christians myself. It is not God or Bible or stuff. What I have a problem with is that if I undermine their whole belief system and everything they base their life on, I am going to hell. But if they do it they are spreading the Word.

When you tell me I need to be saved cause you love me. cause you care for me, you need to help me find the errors of my ways. That gets personal, no matter how peaceful and kind I am

Since a·the·ism is the 1) disbelief in or denial of the existence of God or gods. And 2) the doctrine that there is no God or gods. Or 3) Godlessness; immorality. There is an essential need FOR an EXISTENT GOD, and the BELIEVERS in that God to be present for the atheist to resist in order to hold onto his or her mission in life. Simply put, they must be opposing God, they must be against God and they must be actively against those who believe in God, because they must have God to oppose or deny for them to be true to their religion, which is against the one true God. Without the existence of God and the Believers, they have nothing to oppose or deny. So they must be here, opposing Christians, to affectuate their denial.

Why are you spending so much time worrying about what atheists do? Atheists have every right to be in here too and most of them are in here to defend their self and stand up for their own rights. This is not just a christian section!
