Upon close examination of the original Hebrew, Satan wasn't actually a serpent although that is how it is most commonly translated.

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent (Nachash) was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

In the Hebrew this being or person is called 'Nachash.' The Hebrew word Nachash is translated to "shine" (like brass) or whisper (as in enchantment). The Nachash was not a literal snake. The Nachash was, to use literal Hebrew, a 'shining enchanter.' He was also 'shrewd' (smooth or slick), as a descriptive term in the Hebrew for 'naked and cunning' in deceiving Eve. Scripture goes on to say that the Nachash was - "above" (higher in intelligence) than any living thing 'of the field' that Yahweh Elohim had made."

devil used the snake (easily a serpent which isn't unavoidably a snake) to deceive Eve. devil isn't a snake. he's nicely or became easily an angel of very intense order. He became on a similar point as Jesus. (Jesus isn't God--devil would desire to in no way grant something to God) Many have subject with a conversing serpent. despite if the serpent easily talked would not remember, you may communicate without words. the actuality that Adam advised her to not touch the tree lest she die (which God did not say), and he or she observed the serpent in the tree touching it and he became superb started the doubts. Then if it talked (and the the tree became the understanding of stable and evil, and devil reported it would make you sensible--and now he can communicate), what a deception. devil knew who Jesus became, and Jesus knew devil. He would not have used a serpent to objective and tempt Jesus. He tried to reason with him and twist scripture to get Jesus to holiday. yet considering Jesus became the "trademarks" it is "be conscious" of God, he not purely knew the be conscious, yet knew the point in the back of it, because of the fact he became the only used of God to grant it to mankind in the 1st place. He became the angel of the Lord in the bush with Moses, He became the angel who spoke with Abraham, He became the Voice (be conscious) of the Lord in the backyard of Eden.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

I dislike the fact how the snake has been labeled as the devil... never does it say that the snake is the devil, everyone just assumed it was the devil, it says that the snake told them about the tree, and how they would have great knowledge; because humans ended up being condemend they blamed it on the snake saying it was the devil..

Satan did not take the form of a snake in the Garden of Eden, according to the Qur'an.

It simply says, in numerous verses, that he "whispered" to Adam, telling him of a tree...

(20:120)
But Satan whispered evil to him: he said, "O Adam! shall I lead thee to the Tree of Eternity and to a kingdom that never decays?"

I don't believe the bible specify the type of snake but after the fall of man part of its curse was to go on its belly (perhaps it had legs like a dragon) or dinosaur?

There was a mistranslation somewhere. Eve didn't give in to a "snake". Think something similar, but far more powerful. Though some refer to it as an anaconda.
