No, I think the problem is hormonal. Males have too much testosterone and adrenaline surging through their bodies in their mid-teens and early 20's. While this stimulates their physical maturity and drive to find and conquer, it hinders their mental and emotional maturation rates.

Maybe what you call slower maturing is that women take themselves waaaaaaayy too seriously! Men don't! How do you figure it could be because of sin? Women today are just as bad as men! And if i recall my Bible stories right, wasn't it Eve who was seduced into commiting the first sin by Satan? I think men don't mature fast because they don't want to. It seems when girls become teens all that is important is being "mature". Ha!

no matter how smart the guy, males usually mature much slower than women
maybe by design Nature knew that it was better this way, after all, how much maturity does it take to own male genitalia vs female genitalia? Girls have to learn quicker to say no, they are stuck with the outcome guys are not
define sin-
I read it as harm to self, not 'breaking a holy command' when you think of it, many religions teach respect for others, and in general if you offend your brother/sister you just hurt your relation and it takes a lot to repair and hurts trust between you
I think the word is thrown around too much
just like blaming a gun for the death after a shooting when it's a human that loads it, aims, it pulls trigger and fires the weapon
transgressing or forcing your will is disrespect for others...some say sin but I call it dishonorable behavior based on harm to life or nature

I've been reading a book on the secret life of Jewish Femininity that proposed that women were made spiritually closer to G-d (one might assume more "in his image"), therefore, men had to do more praying, religious study, and religious work to make up for their weakness. It's really an amazing concept when your trying to sell modern women the idea of being left behind in the hierarchy of religious power, yet we all know women lead each home to its religious life.
