People say Jesus was a Liberal or a Conservative. Thats cant be. If jesus was like that he would be doing exactly what the Bible says you shouldnt do, arguing. Jesus ould be commiting a sin. And he cant do that so everyone saying he was a Conservative or Liberal is wrong.
And there werent any politicial parties around that time either.
Do you agree?

I agree that it's hard to transfer what Jesus taught in that day to present times, politically speaking.

Example; Because he saved the woman caught in the act of adultery, does that mean he would be against ALL death penalty cases?

And, if you noticed, while he saved her, he didn't back down on saying she was wrong. ("Go & sin no more.") I can imagine liberals screaming, "Who are you telling her what to do with her own body!"

He obviously wanted the poor to be taken care of, but does that mean he would have wanted the government to be in charge of it? And 50% of the rich man's income being confiscated to pay for it? That sounds more like Robin Hood than Jesus Christ!

He said you have to pay your taxes, but would he have voted for a politician who advocated fixing things by higher taxes?

He taught obedience to the government, but does that mean he wanted a big government?

I can't imagine Jesus being anything but disgusted by mid to late- term abortions, but the Bible is not specific on the subject. The issue of "when life begins" would have to be answered, first.

But as far as issues like trade unions and strong regulation of business, strong environmental regulations, animal rights & gun control, it's hard to say, exactly.

The labels of "Liberal" and "Conservative" as they exist today, cannot be applied to Jesus Christ. These labels are identified with philosophies of the US Constitution and certain theologies, and cannot be applied to people who existed prior to the existence of those documents and theologies!

Jesus answered plenty of arguementitave questions, though, and posed a few of his own.

BTW, there were political parties around in 1AD. There were Herodians, Romans, Pharisees, Saducees, Zealots, and others. Wherever you find people with opposing political ideas, you will find people grouping together to support their own pet idea! That is really what political parties are all about!

Oh my God! Can you leave Jesus alone! All i see are questions about Jesus being Jew,or why he did that and not that...Now your question.
Please just get it!!! There is no even one person in the world, who knows exactly what happened.Bible might be just a book (it's not that i don't believe in God),but don't expect to get an answer here.Again,no one knows exactly what happened,we know what Bible says, but Bible was rewritten and not once.
Please just have God in your heart, and don't look for any answers, you'll get a lot of them, but it will not be the truth...

the bible doesn't say we shouldn't argue. arguing isn't a sin. the bible (god) teaches us to respect others' opinions, but you can still argue opinions with other people as long as you respect where the other person is coming from.

and i also agree that the jesus being liberal or conservative debate is irrelevant and pointless to debate.
