I’m assuming that dead people can’t feel torment and pain, so if the sinners are to be tormented for eternity they must be given eternal life, right?

(Most seems to agree that you have no feelings when you are dead.)

How are the catholics getting round this one? I cant remember the movie but the quote goes " the best trick the devil ever pulled was getting the world to forget he exists".
Now if these crazy caths believe in good Vs evil/ god Vs the devil how can they let this happen. That nazi pope has already showed his hate a couple of times. Has satan himself managed to get control? It would be fitting and slightly ironic that such a nasty greedy filthy religion would end up with the antichrist as its leader?
He will be worse for the world than anybody can imagine.

Question is, catholics are notoriously blind in their faith, so will they follow him into hell and chaos that he will bring to the world?

Bible is quite clear that homosexuality is wrong, As Judaism says, as does the Quran in Islam.
All people have sinned, so no one is perfect. Homosexuals I believe should be allowed to attend the church/mosque / etc. without discrimination. They have the same rights and everything else.
My real question is - Can they lead the church? Some Christian denominations are allowing homosexuals to be ministers / pastors. The ones I have talked to have warped what the bible says to suit their needs. (which is wrong for whatever is warped).

Can they be Iman's etc.
do you think your religion will decay to this someday?

I had a dream last night that was just a nightmare for me, well part of the dream was. You see what happened was that when I was going to my room for something in my dream, I saw this invisble thing messing with my clothes and I oringinally think of it as a ghost. So I scream and run downstairs and curl up to my dad and tell and he does nothing. I don't remember the rest but I do know that was the main of the nightmare. What does this mean?

John 15:6 - If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Is it Christian to oppose the equal treatment of fellow citizens and in some cases fellow Christians who happen to be gay... while in many parts of the world gay are now facing rejection, violence and abuse in their own communities...imprisonment & killing of gays still continues in many countries and a large section of the the Anglican church seems to now be giving this abuse it's endorsement.

Why can't people just open their eyes and see the truth for themselves? Or is it because no one wants to know the truth? Are they just happier believeing that God is sitting up there taking care of everything. It just an escape I tell you, people dont want to take the responsibility they were born with. Grasp the power that is your right and stop denying you all know in your hearts but ignore for fear of suffering in hell. Hell is a scare tactic created by the church.

why are christians so pessimistic?
you say something that atheists think something like:

"if you dont belive in heaven, what's the purpose of life? if we die we will go to dust so we just live our life the way we want it"

Abrogation is the principle that the later doctrines in the Quran carry more weight than the earlier ones. The writings in the Quran became more aggressive as the military strength of the Muslims grew

Somebody recently wrote an answer to another question that strongly implied that 'this is a bad world, which is why Jesus will come to take us away from it'.

As someone who doesn't believe in the End Times, I have an absolute moral imperative to try however possible to improve this world - the only one I believe in.

My question is whether or not a believer in the End Times shares this moral imperative.

We make our decisions about the world based on evidence, whether those decisions be mundane or profound. We base our legal systems on strict guidelines designed to produce impartial evidence so we can make unbiased decisions. We can ascertain the presence of danger by logicly observing our immediate surrounds. We manoeuvre our lives to gain favourable conditions by thinking about our situations and acting apon them. In spite of all this why do we need to use faith, and not logic, to make a decision on our origins, afterlife, and morals arguably the most important decisions we will ever make? It just dosen`t make sense.

Such as how the Amish live. Some Christians are finding it very difficult to live in the modern times. Perhaps we could give them land to sustain an 1980's life style. We can include Firebirds, and Camaros, as well as all their 80's needs. I think it would be a humane thing of us to do for them.

The rest of the Christians are more than welcome to help us fashion this little bubble for them. What do you think?

You don't & you won't see a Muslim making fun of Jesus, Moses, Buddha or the Hindu gods & goddesses here. We won't stoop to yr level.

I agree, there r so-called "Muslim" terrorists commiting terrible things in the name of Islam & trust me, even us Muslims r mad & very ashamed of them for all the bad things they've done but I stand by my religion because I know that their evil acts r NOT ISLAMIC but actually POLITICAL. They say they r doing these things for God but we all know they r hiding something.

Your insults may wound us for a few minutes, but after a while we'll forget all about them as we continue to live our lives as Muslims.

Surah 109. Al Kafirun from the Quran:
Say:"O you people who reject faith! I do not worship what you worship, Nor will you worship what I worship, And I will not worship what you have been used to worship. To you be your religion, and to me my religion.

Quran teaches us many beautiful things, but it is up to us to carry them out the right way

And that man would have to destroy God to remove ignorance and fear of the unknown from the face of the Earth through reason and scientific thoughts. If peace is to reign supreme.

Would you agree?
