Where in the bible does it say that sinners will be given eternal life?

Question

I’m assuming that dead people can’t feel torment and pain, so if the sinners are to be tormented for eternity they must be given eternal life, right?


(Most seems to agree that you have no feelings when you are dead.)

I'd rather be an a** wanting to learn than just an a**.
John 3:16 speaks of "whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life". That does not include non belivers like me does it?

I'd like specific bible passages please.

Why would a good god torment some of his creatures for being what they are: poor humans? I wouldn't torment a dog (except that damn dog next door which barks 24/7, I would poison the friggin' thing in a heartbeat if I could get away with it). But really, a nice dog (err, I mean god) wouldn't punish a creature for being not as perfect as a perfect god, would he? I mean, let's look at criminals... a criminal steals because, duh, because god made his life difficult in the first place, right? I mean, if everyone had an easy life then there would be no need to be bad and everyone would be a saint (and garden of eden doesn't prove anything because even there god made their lives difficult by tempting them with a beautiful forbidden tree). So, we have a god who makes it hard on his creatures, and then roasts them for not being perfect, makes no sense. Look at Jesus, he was struggling to be good (devil tempted him), and he *knew* there was a god (at least he claimed to know). So the whole hell thing makes no sense (aka nonsense).

No where in the bible. No, sinners will be tormented for eternity. It's our soul that will be tormented if we choose to reject God or continue in sin,.Please look at the rich man story in the book of Luke.

our body & soul dies but our spirit is eternal, tt lives forever & where it lives depends on one's choosing. I choose JC & His promise of reigning with Him for eternity.
