Lately I have noticed an abundance of questions directed at the subject of theism. Also, many seem to be confused, thinking that theism is Deism, plain and simple. Since I am Deist, it has disturbed me that so many think they are simply one and the same. Deism is included under the term, but they are not mutually exclusive. The definition of Theism also includes organized religions of Christianity, Jews, etc.

Sorry, I know it's not a question, but comments are of course expected. I just thought it might be useful to point out the correct definition of theism and so have supplied the Wikipedia link. It is much too long to post here. Again, sorry this isn't a question for the purists in this forum :).

Believe? Or would you still look for other proof?

I am challenging you because people believe that libs can't be Christians. Technically, they are usually right but here is your chance to prove you know the truth. Liberalism is a mental disorder yes, but cureable as well! Do you know how to cure it?

let me rephrase that, if it was found to be a fact that jesus never walked the earth then what do you feel you would be left with?, would you lose your faith or would you still consider yourself a christian? Are you familair with the movie "the god who wasnt there"? on what basis do you believe that jesus was a man that once walked the earth? can you prove that he did? or do you believe that jesus was god in man form but not a man at all really?

Apparently no Christians think that Jesus' crucifixion could have been upset (from answers to my previous questions), God wouldn't allow it. So, is there anything people can do to upset God's plan, or help it, or even affect it? If not, then why do people attempt to influence the world?

As a Christian, I believe in forgiving as God has forgiven us. But there are a couple of people in my life who have wronged me; people with whom I no longer have (or desire) contact. I would like to tell myself I've forgiven them for whatever they've said or done, but I'm still a little hurt and bitter about the fact that they did/said these things to/about me. Does that mean I haven't forgiven them?

I don't want to contact these people ever again. But I want to feel like I've truly forgiven them. How can I reconcile this with myself?

Thank you.

I am in intercessory prayer and for many years I had a calendar where I put my prayer requests on but the calendars keep falling apart.

My question is what is a good way to have a prayer journal to write people prayer requests down and keep records of answered prayer?

I need something compact, practical that I can take with me wherever I go, can you reccomend a good journal or a note book?

Shouldn't we stop teaching our kids "knowledge" so that God will like them better? Knowledge that they are naked is #1...raise them in nudist camps. Math, science, pop culture are next to go. We can raise our innocent children to be innocent, like Adam and Eve before Original Sin. Why not?

(any non-Muslim is considered an infidel & deserves death) but if anybody else makes the slightest remark about them, they are ready to wage "ji-had". Don't they need to lighten up and realize you can not convert people by violence? And they wonder why we feel the way we do about them!
