No one would object to an honest question. But if a question is designed simply to annoy, mock or provoke, then yes--it would prove you are bigoted.

Because, when it comes down to it, these Christians throw names around just like anyone else. Christians are no better than non-believers, or believers of another religion. It's just a different set of rules. If you all follow the rules you've been given, how can anyone be called 'wrong'?
Some of them don't realise they could take the opportunity to use what they know to help someone else better understand their faith, and that would be a much better gift than name calling, surely.

I don't assume anything about you
Instead of asking questions about Christians themselves (I am a Christian), why don't you ask about Scripture?
Ask Christians to back up what they believe with scriptures. Then you might find the truth (if you're interested enough)

Because some people do not like question asked about Christians or they are close minded to other points of view. One possible is maybe your wording is not that good. Any one or all may be the reason.

I am a Christian and ultimately people will take offence if you put their religion in the wrong light intentionally or unintentionally (e.g. The Pope speaking to the University). Now I think some people over-react (e.g. "Behead thoses that insult Islam") but who can argue with faith?

I am a christian, and I don`t think you are big head, what get`s me why some people have a dig at us, is it because you are afraid of the unknown?, not knowing were you will go when you die, without Jesus in your life you won`t go to Heaven and that my friend is the truth

I have read your questions (4 in total) and read the answers. Only 1 person referred to you as a bigot and that is far from representative of the answers you received. I see no reason to take offence at your questions, they merely indicate your level of understanding about our faith.

Because you are questioning what they believe, and no matter how diplomatically you do this, some will take offence at the fact you have questioned beliefs rather than just accepting what they tell you.

I have found than many Christians are so full of themselves and their religion that they seem to have a complete inability to see things from other perspectives. It is called intolerance and it is what causes wars.
