Shouldn't we stop teaching our kids "knowledge" so that God will like them better? Knowledge that they are naked is #1...raise them in nudist camps. Math, science, pop culture are next to go. We can raise our innocent children to be innocent, like Adam and Eve before Original Sin. Why not?

Keep them from finding the Coke bottle, so to speak.

Okay first of all, you have that interpreted all wrong. Adam and Eve had NO concern with being naked until Satan stepped in, and through deception and deceit with Eve-caused them to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Before eating from the tree, being naked was the norm for them. They were perfect specimens made from God's own hands, they had no reason to be ashamed of anything.

Second, we can't raise our kids to be innocent like Adam and Eve because we will never know that "true" innocence. We are born into sin, mostly some of us from very sinful behavior (promiscous sex), so there is no way we can ever teach anyone what "true" innocence is because we dont know.

What we should be teaching kids is this...
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Everything else is secondary until we all learn this one main fact of life.

It was not a fruit of knowledge, but of the knowledge of good and evil. It's like the Taoist saying that once we conceive of virtue, it must be because virtue is lost and missed. I think the story of Adam and Eve is a good metaphor for living in an integrated state. You simply flow with the natural way of things. But when you fall into an "either/or" kind of dualistic thinking, that natural bliss and ease gets lost; you become seperated from the divine. This is why, although God is supposed to be omniscient, he asked "Where are you". (Gen 3:9) They were told if they ate they would die, and they did die to that original state.

I was raised in such a no knowledge environment. It was pretty awesome except the snake bit me and I'm illiterate. Anyway, I got out about three weeks ago, found a computer, and began mashing the keys randomly...so there you go.

Because the curse of Adam is that we are all born now under the ban of "original sin." Sin is now in our nature, just like eye-color and blood-type.

You can't "undo" the original sin.

Good idea. Stop teaching everyone. Keep them ignorant. That way they won't question the absurdity of god, and particularly that of organized religion.

We do not teach children anything. And we should stop wasting money on schools and teachers. The kids in India learn the algebra in 4th grade that the US teaches in 7th grade. Let's send the kids to India.

If you believe that story in the bible, then God only wants us to be sheep and Satan is the oldest known teacher in the human history.

We already are, its called homeschooling. Yes, a broad generalization(some parents give their children good educations) but true to a large degree.

LOL - that's a good idea. I think all children should be put in forced non-knowledge camps if they are religous.
