Sure, I'd believe something that was proven to me without a doubt, however this proof must meet my standards for proof. Not just some random Christian waving their book of mythology under my nose and claiming its proof.

If I have proof beyond a shadow of a doubt, then yeah, I would believe. And yet would you be able to provide that proof? I think that is highly unlikely.

It would have to be better proof than "Look, the Bible says so! There's your proof!" or "Look at the pretty birds and animals, that's proof enough for you!"

That kind of proof isn't proof at all, but subjective circular reasoning.

I don't quite get the question. You say if there were proof that was beyond doubt and accepted by all, would I still look for other proof? By definition, why would I bother?

If I had data that as quickly as objectively analyzed mentioned that a god existed, i'd post it in creditable journals for peer evaluation. If it exceeded this attempt, i'd post it to the final public. the element right here is that i would not place self assurance in my subjective interpretation yet i'd seek for purpose evaluation and complaint from different specialists interior the sphere as a fashion to substantiate besides the fact that I had got here across. Edit: If I had got here across "evidence" or data, then that ought to for sure be waiting to be objectively shown by potential of others. Granted, this may well be a protracted and exhausting technique, even though it is better to truly understand that the "evidence" is actual and shown than to bypass off and convince human beings of a few thing that may not genuine -- clever layout is composed of concepts as a solid occasion of this.

I just don't get it. I do believe in a higher power. But I don't get the need that some Xtians have for claiming there's proof of God. There isn't - that's why it is called FAITH. Why isn't your faith enough? You're never going to get proof - not until you kick the bucket anyway, that's just the way it is.

***What if there is proof beyond doubt that JESUS is GOD, would you? ***

Yes, i would have no choice.

At first when i saw i question i took it to mean that someone had found undeniable, irrevocable, demonstrable proof that Jesus is God. By the time i got to the "all" part i was howling. When the "most" part showed up i was in hysterics. I have the sneaky suspicion that we will never in reality find Jesus or his cup.
Thanks i needed that.
ahahahahahahaha.

Have a blessed day.

It is best to have 2 or 3 verifiable sources for proof when dealing in science.

But you look like a nice person, so what the heck, I believe you.

What kind of proof could there be? I guess if Jesus appeared in my living room and talked to me and said the right things, I would then believe. But that's what it would take and I'm virtually certain that wouldn't happen.

I would certainly believe the thing you'd be offering evidence for -- that Jesus is God....

Now, if you're asking: Would I worship him? That's another matter entirely. He'd first have to demonstrate that faith in his sacrifice guarantees eternal life -- maybe by allowing me to speak to some folks who believed in this life and are now enjoying eternal life in heaven. Then he'd have to offer a plausible explanation for all the atrocities he ordered his Chosen People to commit all throughout the Old Testatment. Maybe a word or two on why his message is so contradictory and misunderstood, even by people CLAIMING to know His will. In short, he would have to demonstrate that he was a being WORTHY of my praise and devotion before I'd devote my life to serving him.

Modern biblical scholarship makes a very compelling case for the idea that Jesus never existed... that he was, in fact, entirely fictional.
