Confession time: The night I left the church for good, I scrawled, "God is watching you!" on the womens' room wall, in Sharpie.

I used to be a preschool teacher. Once a week a teacher from the church would give a lesson about the bible. She mentioned that God is ALWAYS watching. The teacher tried to have a light and happy attitude with the kids about it. But when I looked at them they seemed really freaked out. There was a real eary silence in the classroom. They were definitely freaked out. That's way to heavy for a kid.
The kids are probably closer to "God" than us complicated adults. They shouldn't have to bare our ideas about what God looks like, acts like, etc...

No, I don't mind that God is watching. I just can't stand that guy in the next apartment building who is constantly staring out his window into my windows. Creeps me out.

I think it comes back to this does your mom watch you every second of the day? Does she watch you pee? Are we not supposed to be gods children? Dont you think that common courtesy would be first? Or are all angels peeping toms?

I'm quite sure that God is far too busy watching people get raped, tortured, murdered, dismembered etc. to want to watch me tinkle. He must like that kind of thing, since he's responsible for so much of it happening...

Well, seeing as He created us, He knows that we need to excrete etc. Its nothing to him. You forget that before Adam ate from the forbidden fruit, we were not concious of ourselves. We didnt care if we were naked even!
