"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

Could you please define what you understand Jesus to mean with the phrase "through me"?

After analysizing the historical image of Christ and the Mug shot of Bin Laden, do you think they both look quite a bit alike?

Is Bin Laden the reincarnated soul of our Holy Father?

I guess only time will tell... God Bless America!

There won't be a confrontation on the General Assembly lunch menu today because the Iranian president has decided to skip it - passing up his best shot at ambushing President Bush with an impromptu debate.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has challenged Bush to a debate, and when the U.S. President turned him down, he suggested he would dog Bush at this week's General Assembly.

Bush has made it clear that he does not want to run into Ahmadinejad at the UN General Assembly this week because of Iran's secretive nuclear program, its support for terror groups like Hezbollah and vile comments the Iranian leader made calling for Israel to be "wiped off the map."

Iran's president is a puss and now we all know it. Buwahahahahaha

I suggest that his tone would be 1000 times more depressing. Books like "Animal Farm" would be renamed "Arss Smelling Farm".

Maybe "1999" would be renamed "911".

Islam is worse than anything Orwell imagined...Islam is cross between George Orwell and Stephen King in a warped Pulp Fiction reality (specifically, the Basement "Gimp" scene).

Actually, as sharp as Orwell was, if he were a better historian, he would have wisely tied the two together in his literature anyway, but in fairness, Islam, as a miltary force of totalitarian oppression, looked like it was dying in his time and Leftist totalitarianism appeared to be the future.

when reffering to the story of the rich man and lazarus the begger, the Bible suggest that there is a barrier that angel in heaven nor demons, devils and people in Hell cant cross. The angels can see down there but they cant cross;the people in Hell can see up there and be tortured by what they missed;but they cant cross either.
So which side will I see you on?

As for me,I will be on the heaven side with Jesus.

ancient books written at a barbaric period in history .. whether it is a Christian ... Muslim or any other religious book ...does not mean that those who believe in those books today are still as barbaric as the teachings within the book ... and each book holds their own horror stories
but
it is the peaceful teachings that should be held in the hearts of the believer
and one is not any worse or better than another
for ever time i hear one book being quoted someone quotes almost identical parts from another book
can't we all just get over it and stop with the tit for tat ?

in the violent protests by angry muslims bombed churches in west bank and killed a 60 year old nun working in a hospital in mogadishu.but when talibans demolished the statues of lord budhdha in afghanisthan no such violent activities of budhdhists were reported. even when the da vinci code released which hurt the sentiments of christians, they did not resort to vandalism and violence. by resorting to violent demonstrations are muslims giving wrong signals to the world that theirs is not a religion of peace?

Ok, to my understanding, the quote made by the pope was a preface for his speech on the relationsip of reason vs religion... he only mentions the islam religion in an introductory manner to the remaining speech which basically dicusses using reason rather than violence to impress your religious and that a reasonable person, when presented with reasonable information will be able to make their own decision on whether that particular religion is what they will choose to follow....

NOW, Muslims are taking this as a direct assault on them when their own writings are quoted by the pope, not made up... and they react by burning churches and killing a nun!!!!

Aren't they just proving the point they are pissed about in the first place????????????????????????????????????????????????

i understand that if Jesus is gone, then no extra letter should be added to the Bible, the Bible has to be closed from anything adding to it.

but what i noticed that there are people who still keep writing inside the Bible even though Jesus was gone. especially John Paul who came years later, who gave him the right to add his words in the Bible? so what makes it different if someone decides to add a extra chapter in the Bible Today?

So this guy Jesus, he was God right? And he was alive about 33 years right? And the Bible is a book with stuff he said right? Is it possible the Bible doesn't contain everything he said?

What if we are missing some things Jesus said? What if Jesus said we can't wear jeans on Friday?

From listening to a European history podcast, I have concluded that it might be safe to compare the selling of indulgences back in the 15th and 16th centuries to modern televangelists asking for money.

The Catholic church sold indulgences under the guise that people can buy salvation for themselves and their deceased loved ones (a verse in the book of Acts actually PROHIBITS this).

Televangelists separate fools from their money under the guise that they (those being parted from their money) are going to have a "better" relationship with God.

Anyone agree with me or disagree or care to add more commentary?

For the record, I am a Christian.
