As an atheist, I am willing to argue and reason to convince people

Muslims are apparently ready to use power drills on and behead each other
Christians (in the inquisition) were willing to boil alive nonbelievers.

we live in a sad and dangerous world. Religion needs to be eradicated, but I am not prepared to do it violently, like the religionists are.

The idea of forcing anyone to accept a certain religion is so counter to the whole point of spirituality, my space here at Yahoo is simply not long enough. Besides. Have we not all seen the result of this practice?

The Inquisition - millions died over the course of a 200 year period. Primarily women.

The Slaughter of the Cathars - A peaceful group that was an offshoot of Catholicism. Rome made certain that they would no longer be afforded the opportunity to "poison" the faithful.

Residential Schools (Canada) - Where native children were separated from their families and severely punished for speaking their own language, practicing their religion or celebrating their culture. Run by Anglicans and Roman Catholics.

Need I say more?

I'm willing...but, not by force. Those who refuse to believe, don't have to. It's a choice. No one should force anyone to believe in anyone's beliefs.

If your speaking of Christianity, it shouldn't be forced. It's not about pushing Christ onto anyone. As a believer, I don't have to. His message is clear. We nailed Him to a cross. And, yet... He only came to save us. He didn't force His message then. Why would He now? He doesn't have to. But, because He Loves us, He'll do everything in His Power to tell us. It's not by force, it's by His grace. It's up to us whether we believe, or not.

The day is coming when you will stand (parton the word, forced) to stand before God. Every single living soul, including myself will. Making your choice then, won't save you, or anyone. Believing He is who He is now, will.

If you have the slightest curiousity, make it a priority. Search until you know without a doubt whether you believe, or not. Ask someone who teaches and believes in the Bible. Don't let the world decide your destiny. The most important decision you will ever make is souly up to you. Not your friends, or family. It's up to you, and you alone.

It's only through, Jesus Christ, that your eternal destiny is sealed. Confessing you believe in Him. Asking Him to forgive you of all your sins. Asking Him to come into your heart. Believing He is The Son of God who died upon a cross and rose three days later from the grave.

Jesus Christ, is the only way. (John 15) His gift is free. He shed His blood for you and me. He came to save us. He committed no crime. Yet, you and I crusified Him. Yes, you and me. His creation.

Friend, He won't push Himself. It's through His Word that His message prevails. He does the rest. Believe me, or don't. He is Real. He is the same yesterday and today. The Ancient of Days. His Message is Timeless. Whether you believe, or not.

At last, ask yourself this question, "What if those crazy Christians are right?" Better yet, ask this God you refuse to believe in, this Creator of the universe, IF He is real... show you. He will. I promise. A place to look, John 3:16...........I dare you.

I'm curious though. If you don't believe...why bother saying it?

Hope to see you there my friend.

Because of Him,
A Believer

Nothing more then living by example.

I have no interest in FORCING anyone into believing anything.
It can't be done anyway, attempts of force only weaken the argument.

I think once the mentality of force consumes the person(s), they have already lost touch with realistic expectations and the beauty of differences, which by the way add perspective and possibility of what is assumed to be finite.
Of course I am referring to the positive aspects of unique perspectives.
Perhaps someday each and every person on the planet will be left to embrace their own individual ideas and be permitted to keep them as his own personal spiritual understanding, maybe then the violation of our spirits will cease to exist among men.

Faith is like love if it's forced it's not real, I would never force anyone to accept Jesus as their savior that would not work anyway.

Salvation through Christ is a free gift of God, free to all people but not free to God. The price was the death of Gods only Son Jesus Christ.

You people look at Christians with hatred, we don't won't to force anyone into anything. How can a free gift be forced on someone, then it would no longer be free.

You get to choose, it's the choice of a lifetime.

I don't believe that anyone will go as far as forcing their beliefs on any sinner who continues to reject GOD and continue to sin on a daily basis. This individual has the opportunity to move from that situation in peace just by saying that they are not interested. Plain and Simple.

Nowhere. Never. Never have, never will. I believe whatever I believe, which is my own freakin' business. I don't care what anyone else believes. Everyone else better danged well leave my beliefs alone, or I will put my foot in their @sses. It's called common courtesy and basic human respect. I don't tell you what to believe, and you don't tell me what to believe. 'Nuff said...

Wahhabi muslims believe that all who will not convert should be killed. Mormons believe that anyone who leaves the church should be killed, as do radical christians. This proves my point that a belief in God can bring you peace, belief in religion can make you kill.
