The inter linear greek says (if this is what you are after)
Is-saying to-him The Jesus I am The way and The truth and The Life not-yet-one is-coming toward the Father if no through me.
So through means "through" As in door "I am the door."

Jesus is like an enclosed pathway, doorway or gateway, going "through" Jesus offers guidance, deliverance and protection. I believe we were separated from the Father by a void that we cannot cross without Jesus. Jesus is the Way there, the entire Truth and the Life. Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. He is connected to the source directly. We receive Life through Him. Without Him, there is no connection we are broken off and without anything to keep us alive: no roots, no stability and no constant source of sustenance. To live without Jesus is to have food but be unable to process it. To live without Jesus is to be tossed by the winds, washed away by the rain and burned by the light of day. Can a branch survive without the vine? That is not a likely event to occur in nature. Have you grafted yourself onto some thing that is not the true Vine? That will be my question on Answers. Peace and may the Hand of God be upon you.

Because all men inherited sin through Adam and Eve, they would not be able to be reconsiled to God in his perfect state of holiness. Through Jesus' living a perfect sinless life and being willing to stand as a window between God and man until man could again be perfect, this allowed humans to be seen by God as sinless if they wanted to remain in Christ's shadow, so to speak. Jesus is also the princely king of God's Kingdom for the 1,000 years which are necessary to bring the earth and obedient mankind back into a state of perfection before he then, hands the earth and all it's inhabitants back to God so that God can rule over them directly without Jesus' mediation. The Father God is Holy, & sin separates us from God. Even one sin will keep us out of heaven. That is why only those redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God, go to heaven and take part of the first resurrection.
Jesus suffered our sins & because He was sinless, rose from the dead. The wages of sin is death. So Jesus Christ is our Lord, our High Priest, our King. Our High Priest because He gave himself to atone for our sins. So when His Blood cleanses us from our sins, He made the Way for us to go to the Father. Father God doesn't see our sins. We are restored in our relationship with God.
When we do sin again, we have an advocate, Jesus Christ the righteous. If we confess our sin, He is righteous & just to forgive us our sin & cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We just need to plead the blood of Jesus, & pray to God the Father. Knowing that what Jesus did is sufficient & has given us eternal life.

Through his ministry and the changes in behavior he was trying to induce. Also, literally, if you want an audience with God, Jesus is the only way to warrantee it. He's a Ombutsman.
He's also saying the old ways are quite right.
Some are still not right. Jesus was opposed to Fornication. Jesus tightend up divorce to only for adultery. Jesus was opposed to stoning to death people, as God said, Thou Shalt Not Kill.

Since Jehovah is Holy, man’s sin created a wall that separated us from Him. In love Jehovah provided a gate (Jesus his Son) so that man can approach and be acceptable to Him, until Jesus could totally erase the effects of sin.

You must believe Jesus is God's Son, born of the virgin Mary, that Jesus was crucified for our sins, died and was raised from the dead by God three days later.
With a relationship with Jesus, you have access to the Father.
Without a relatiohship with Jesus, you have no access to the Father.

Well, I use the King James bible and there it says "by"me.....
Anyways..... If you look up by in Strongs Exhaustive Concordance in reference to this verse, this is what the Greek meaning is..
a) the ground or reason by which something is or is not done
1) by reason of
2) on account of
3) because of for this reason
4) therefore
5) on this account
So Jesus was saying that without Him (acceptance of His payment for our sin debt) there is no way possible to enter into heaven. We cannot get there on our good works.

In order for our prayers to be heard by God, we must end them by saying "In Jesus' name " This is what is meant by the Scripture at 1 Timothy 2:5--"For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus."

In worldly terms it would be like a personal representative or agent. He has done all the ground work for you so that you can go to God and say toHim that "Jesus sent me" and God will hear you requests... if the Ground work was not done you would not be admitted into the presence of "The Man"...So you have to know who and what Jesus The Christ is(note I said is, not was) befor you can go to God directly.
