My neighbor's mom died when he was 12. His mom and dad were sealed in the temple. His dad remarried and they had 3 kids and were also sealed in the temple. Now why would God make his dad choose which wife he wanted to be with in eternity? Not every single member is going to practice the plural wife thing...

I put both these two together because they have the same answer. We believe every single person who ever lived on this earth no matter what, has the right to either accept or reject the gospel. We are not the judge. That is why temple work is so important to us, it has been commanded of us by the Lord. How could the Lord be a just and fair God if not everyone had an opportunity to accept or reject the gospel?

First of all, those are not all true. Second of all if you are a Christian and believe in the Bible, you could easily compile a list just like that. The Bible says that if you work on the Sabbath day you should be killed, that's it's okay to sell your daughter's into slavery, etc...

Or how about that a man named Jesus died on a cross only to rise from the dead.. that this man healed otherwise incurable diseases and raised others from the dead...
I wouldn't discount mormonism strictly for those beliefs that "sound" bizarre to us. We need to do more than that. Get to know them. Hear their message. Study their material...Study YOUR material =]. *Then* make an assessment. Apart from that, despite the huge differences in some key areas of doctrine, I've known them to be a people of great nobility in my experience. Certainly, if Christians were that more fervent in their evangelism efforts... we may have much to learn just from their methods.
