I suggest that his tone would be 1000 times more depressing. Books like "Animal Farm" would be renamed "Arss Smelling Farm".

Maybe "1999" would be renamed "911".

Islam is worse than anything Orwell imagined...Islam is cross between George Orwell and Stephen King in a warped Pulp Fiction reality (specifically, the Basement "Gimp" scene).

Actually, as sharp as Orwell was, if he were a better historian, he would have wisely tied the two together in his literature anyway, but in fairness, Islam, as a miltary force of totalitarian oppression, looked like it was dying in his time and Leftist totalitarianism appeared to be the future.

The present situation is exactly the same as the Communist crisis of his day. I agree. This is not a conflict of religions, no more than that was a conflict of economic systems, but a battle for freedom against tyranny. Yet while we fight tyranny, we must not lose the very freedoms and protections under the law that we are fighting for.

No.

And it's 1984, not 1999!

I remind you of Romania in the 1990s when they not only EXECUTED the Premier, but HIS WIFE

Does that not remind you of the END of Animal Farm when they all head out the door to take revenge (control)!

Normally you're pretty sharp, but this time you got it so wrong it's rediculous!

Green NAtion, Red Nation, Blue Nation

It's still the same.

Maybe a fourth nation should have been added.

Arabs were a non-entitty when he wrote the book.

Lawrence of Arabia couldn't even get them together.

It was OPEC that succeeded.

Without OPEC there would be no united front!

It always boils down to $$$$

The day the Oil runs out is the day Arabs go back to being in a dissarray.

You are quite wrong... Animal Farm was about the culture of fear... it is about how an Elite group of masterminds use propaganda to instill fear in the masses.

If Orwells was alive today, he would be most shocked at sheeps like yourself who have been indoctrinated to prepetuate the hate toward religion other than your own.

Your ideology, in fact the ideology that you have been taught is what is making this world a dangerous place. You believe you are correct because you possess the Western view of how the world should revolve.
