For some reason, people have this thing against Israel trying to defend itself. I don't know why, though.

Look hunny, to say that the terrorist state of Israel is blamed for 'everything' is foolish. The terrorist state of Israeli’s record isn't good. Many UN resolutions concerning the terrorist state of Israel have been ignored. From 1967 to 1988 the UN Security Council passed 88 resolutions directly against the terrorist state of Israel and during that span, the terrorist state of Israel was condemned 43 times. During this time, in the UN General Assembly, 429 resolutions against the terrorist state of Israel were passed, and Israel was condemned 321 times.

Only today the Independent published an article entitled 'Gaza, the children killed in a war the world doesn't want to know about.' It describes how 37 children under the age of 18 years old, out of a total of 228 people have been killed in the Gaza strip since 25th June. This, obviously excluding the 1000 people ore more slaughtered by the terrorist state of Israel in Lebanon.

Add to that the economical catastrophe that has been unleashed on the Palestinian people and the Lebanese people. Roads, airports, water ways and rail routs all either bombed or blocked. Please tell me how exactly does a country function with some sense of normality when no one can enter or leave?

Please tell me how does a country function when there is a great big bast*rd wall slicing it in two, cutting off civilians from vital public services?

Also, the article that you have so kindly linked me to just goes to show how the terrorist state of Israel will use the Internet as a propaganda tool. Just because its called 'honest reporting .com' doesnt make it true.

Hunny, the terrorist state of Israel isn’t blamed for enough. When will world leaders realise that to support this barbaric state any longer will only cause more death and destruction?

Israel is commonly blamed for the problems in the middle east for several reasons. The country now called Israel used to be Palestine about 60 years ago. So it is no supprise that the Palestinians and their Arab allies aren't happy about it. Israeli settlers have been pushing further and further into the land that the Palestinians now have to live on, the Gaza strip. This is a bit like the French deciding that there going to start building towns on the south east coast of England.
The US governements unpopularity with the Arab world is largely due to it's unquestioning support of Israel. The invasion of Iraq didn't help mind you.

However despite all this even if the state of Israel had never been created there would still be violence in theat region, in my opinion. After all Iraq and Iran were at war for years and that had nothing to do with Israel. Also most of the people being killed in Iraq now are muslims being killed by other muslims.

The reason bombs are going off is, again in my opinion, because some muslim extremeists don't want the west intervening in the middle east or other muslim countries like Afganistan. This is because they are worried that if a desire for democracy spreads they will loose their power. The fact that the US and UK governments support Israel and have invaded Iraq is simply helping these extremists recruit more muslims to blow themselves up. By killing inocent civillians in the west they hope to cause the public in those countries to pressurise their governements into keeping out of middle east politics. By bombing countries like Iraq they hope to destabillise them enough to prevent democracy taking off.
At the end of the day bombs are going off because it suits the purpose of the Muslim extremists. Israel isn't to blame, but the fact that it is there in the first place really doesn't help

The media is guilty not only of mis-reporting but over reporting Israel to the detriment of more important human tragedies unfolding around the world such as Darfur.

Darfur is the BIGGEST HUMANITARIAN ISSUE facing the World right now, but only The Independent had Darfur as front page news last week.

The Pope, Lebanon, Iraq and Aghanistan all get much more news coverage athough more people have died in Darfur in the last five years than all these countries put together.

Why do critics of Israel ignore other, worse abuses?

300-400,000 Black African men, women and children have been raped and murdered in Darfur in the last 5 years by the Sudanese Arab Muslim Army and Janjaweed Militias in the greatest Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing since Rwanda and Bosnia. 2.5 million Darfurians are in "Refugee Camps". 6 million people live in Darfur. The Darfurians are descendants of the ancient Nubians.

1,000 people died in Lebanon, yet Darfur has not had 300 times more news coverage.

The conflict in Darfur is motivated by racism, land grabbing, and religion (Jihadism).

The Arabs look down on Black African Darfurians as "Fur" which literally means "Slaves".

To paraphrase a constant Arab argument used against Israel: Is One Arab life worth more than a Thousand Black African lives in Darfur?

George Clooney has warned the UN Security Council of impending Genocide in Darfur. Clooney said if we don't get a United Nations Humanitarian and Peace Keeping Force (to replace the African Union force) in Darfur soon - we will have another Rwanda on our hands, and the FIRST HOLOCAUST of the 21st century.

Sudan's President, Omar al-Bashir, has vowed to fight off UN troops himself, and warned that Sudan would take on UN soldiers "as Hizbollah beat Israeli forces". Omar al-Bashir also said that al-Qa'ida insurgents would enter Sudan to fight the UN.

Clooney said "After September 30, you won't need the UN. You will simply need men with shovels and bleached white linen and headstones."

Yasmin Alibhai-Brown asks the question in this Sectarian conflict:

"Where are the Muslims protesting about Darfur?"

"Where is the shrill outrage when Muslims kill and ethnically cleanse Darfurians from their meagre homes? Why is the anti-African racism of the Arab Sudanese government and militia not damned by Muslims? Where are the perpetually appalled Muslims today?"

The whole sad enormity of this Tragedy makes me want to cry.

We have heard the phrase "NEVER AGAIN" since the Holocaust. But there always seems to be another Genocide or Ethnic Cleansing in the World.

Will we let the Arabs murder our Black African brothers and sisters in the Darfur?

IS THE WORLD GOING TO LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN?

OR WILL THE HUMAN RACE COVER ITS HEAD IN SHAME (those of us who have a conscience) AGAIN?

I PRAY FOR JUSTICE FOR THE PEOPLE OF DARFUR.

It's Israel's nature to think it's being blamed for everything. The Arab world DOES blame everything on them, but that's their nature, too.

A couple thousand megatons would set the clock back a few thousand years in the area, and would probably benefit everyone in the long run…

the best way I know how to answer this without it just being my opinion is to show you this....

Zechariah 12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Psalms 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
Psalms 122:7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
Psalms 122:8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

Israel is not blamed for everything but for only something. If Israel did not exist there would have been some other bone of contention elsewhere.

The world pretty much became a battle field after 9-11. Fighting the war on terror expanded, because the terrorists and their supporters separated and expanded. As far as the U.S. president is concerned, I may not have liked and agreed with All of his actions/proposals, but I support him 100% on this anti-terrorist campaign. We each have a right to life. That is what America is all about (Go back to your old history books). This is a Christian nation. Through Jesus--good will reign over evil and life will always triumph over death. Bush is against those who do evil and cause death, as he should be. We have every right to protect ourselves form those who threaten us. No one is going to oppress us or get away with terrorizing us.

The world would be at peace if America didn't exist but not entirely because someone else will just take its place.
Its human nature and I blame it on greed, power struggle and selfishness.
The world was never and will never be peaceful so its a hopeless dream :(
In the Lebanon Israel war it is Israels fault but not the world problems.
