why do christians think they own and monopolize R&S?

Question

Spirituality is for everyone not just them, why do they have to be so selfish and arrogant when it comes to non christians? Does thier religion teach them manners, or just do what thou wilt is thier rule of thumb?

I swear ive never met more tacky ignorant people than when i came here, Im so glad i left christianity, its a religion for losers that cant treat each other with respect or kindness. no compassion whatsoever just condescending remarks and egotistical comebacks.

I don't know. Someone asked a question regarding Wicca and people said to get out because R & S is for JESUS only.

I guess Christianity is the only religion and all the others we thought were there are a mass hallucination by us all.

And Bernie, how does a non Christian tell the real from the fake and who chooses which is which?

In my view a good question and you did explain to me why you did ask it. To me you also did explain why you have such a feeling.

Please now let me say something that is just my own thoughts about your comments and your views you did express to me as I read them. Remember that I said it is my view and I accept I may be wrong OK

What do you mean by the word Christian that you used? Do you mean true followers of Christ? Do you mean those who say they are true followers of Christ? Do you mean eveyone who uses that label of Christian? What all do you include in that name you used?

I ask this because I do see a lot who call themselves Christians but in my view I seldom see any of the Christ I know radiated by their actions and words declared. However I have met a very few who seem to do their best to truly be like the Christ I know.

Now in respect to monopolize this Yahoo R$S, I sure see a wide variety of self declared individuals from all groups here. In fact I am learning every day that there are more groups than I ever did imagine existed right here.

I must ask you, did some who called themselves Christians give you a hard time with their approach or answer? If so just le it be and go on. I read that one should just turn the other cheek and continue with life. So why not just smile, maybe tell them thank you for being themselves and go on having a good day. Do not let the acts or actions of others bother you. Know that you have your God and your God is greater than anyone else to you. Just let him take over and even if you want tell your God to fix them for you ha ha. I am sure your God will know what to do.

My friend as you are free to post what you want here, let others do the same. Do not just look for faults but always look to learn about others and maybe why they do see as they see and act as they act. Maybe there is a good reason for it. Maybe also you God did expose it to you so you can be a tool for Him to help another. Always talk to your God about this no matter who your God is.

My friend all this is just my opinion and it is not meant to change you. I do not do that. I just try to enjoy the day, answer some and say what is on my mind. I will respect your view and just say its ok with me.

Now do enjoy and smile. Life is great OK

P.S. see I am a "NO" for I do not call myself a Christian for my reasons. Yes I do believe in the Christ but ift in my view is not for me to jusge myself as to how others do see me OK. I will let others do that if they want. That is their problem and not mine.

Despite the sarcasm (which the whole "cattle and Y!answers" one was pretty funny ^_^), I don't feel we own R&S... but in all honesty, I see more people belitting Christianity or immaturely asking questions they don't want answers to (such as Jim Darwin and the CPT), than I do honest Christian questions.

I personally would enjoy some dialog between us and, say, Buddhists, Shinto, some gentle Muslims, Wiccans, and Hindus, or what have you... but honestly, I just don't see any because YA is filled up with needless spammage.

The same could be said about people who come here just to be argumentative. I don't mean to play devil's advocate in order to fully discuss a point, but to say stuff just to incite anger and contention.

To answer your question, most people who come here are from a historically Christian-based country, therefore more people who live in those countries are Christian, therefore you get more Christians here at R&S.

Not all Christians think this. I don't.

I believe--because it's true--that Yahoo! owns the R&S section of Y!A. I don't think that Christians monopolize this section because the evidence is that there is a representation of many faiths (and lack of faith).

Well thank you so much for that stereotypical and generalist statement, which just happens to be untrue. I am very accepting, but one thing I hate is stereotyping someone....so again we are not all like that. I am very different from my fellow Christians and many on this site know it. You are talking about many fundis who are radical Christians.
