Then I would ask them that on Friday. By praying.

Jesus was NOT God. He WAS God's son. He was on earth 33 years and his ministry was only about 3 1/2 years of that time. He said and did lots of things that the Bible does not contain and the Bible even tells us this at John 21:25. HOWEVER, God knows what we need and he has recorded all that it necessary in order for us to find him if we really want to. After Armegeddon, new scrolls will be opened. If you make it, you may learn more then.

It's possible that the Bible does not contain everything Jesus ever said in his lifetime, in fact it's probable that Jesus said other things. However, it contains the most important of his teachings, and the things that he did for the Glory of God. If it was important that we not wear jeans on Friday, Jesus would have said so, and would have indicated the dire consequences for said sin.
There is a big gap in the gospels about Jesus' life, from when he was teaching in the temple (in one gospel) to the beginning of his ministry. Some gospels only cover his ministry. This shows that His ministry was more important than his birth--only covered by two gospels. So READ them!

Yes , he is God, he is alive and the Word of God does tell about him.
When he left the earth he left us a helper, the "Holy Spirit" which is the Spirit of truth. Without this spirit you can not truly know what is true or false. With this spirit you can understand the truth of the Word of God as well as the truth in all things.
I am sure that Jesus said a few things that did not go into the Bible, he may have talked about those that would make fun of his word or try to twist it's meanings as being slow or just ignorant.
I don't know what may have been left out of the Bible but I am trying to learn not to be ignorant of what is in the Bible. I do understand that we were given a choice, you were given a choice and your eyes are open.
You understand enough to know you must choose. I pray that you will make the right choice and that it will not be to late.

Yes, it's true the Bible doesn't contain all His words.
Read John 21:25:
"And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen."
But somehow, I don't think Jesus taught about jeans, LOL.
Peace.

Actually,,You right! The Bible doesnt list everything That Jesus said, but it did say that:
Jhn 20:30 ¶ And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
Jhn 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

1. He is God's Son, and is perfect so it therefore like God, but is not God himself. They are seperate beings.
2. Yes, around 33 years.
3. Yes.
4. Yes. Not only possible, but actual. He visited the ancient people of the American contenents. They wrote about their lives and their important religious matters including Christ's words when He came to visit them.
5. If you rely solely on the Bible, you are. Read the Book of Mormon for more of what He said.
6. IF He were to say that, then I guess I wouldn't wear jeans on Friday. But so far He hasn't.

Whether Jesus of Nazareth was divine is debatable... other than the bible there is no proof that he was or wasn't. And yes according to the same book he lived about 33 yrs. It is very possible the writers of the books of the bible were selective on which of his thoughts and views to include. To let one see his complete thoughts and judge for themselves would not cultivate the type of following christianity has thus far.

The Bible isn't only about things Jesus said. And no, with certainty, it does not contain everything He said. Considering all of that we do have regarding what He said, jeans wouldn't have been important enough a subject for Him to waste time on.
For someone that does his best to detract from certain material, you are surely not very familiar with it. Becoming familiar with it might help you sound more educated on the subject you seem to hate so much.

There is definetly a gap of about 20 years of Jesus' recorded life. A lot of speculation, but no facts about what occured during that time. Best supposition is that he worked his father's carpentry trade. It was later in life that he took up his calling.
Here's the interesting thing about recorded history. No one's history is recorded with EVERYTHING a person says or does. Imagine that Einstein MUST have had conversations with friends and collegues about his ideas and theories BEFORE he published them. No one could have possibly remembered or recorded every part of these conversations.
Even kings and presidents have private moments. Very significant things can happen during these moments.
So, even though I am not a Christian, I feel that I CAN challenge your assumption that anyone would assume that everything Jesus spoke was written down and should have to be remembered. There is no "What if" about what he said. It has to be assumed that many things were said, and not remembered.
No joke, but even He must have complained about having a poopy diaper.

1st the bible doesn't say Jesus is God, but God's Son.
2nd, only the 4 gospels and the book of Revelation contain Jesus' words.
3rd, you are right Jesus said and taught many things that are not in the bible.
John 20:30 Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;
31but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.
What has been written down is what we need to believe.
