Does anyone else find it ironic that, in response to the Pope stating that the Muslim religion breeds or incites violence within it, the Muslims rioted, fire-bombed churches, and generally reinforced the Pope's very words?

act the way I do. The answer is YES!!!! I practice Mariottism, so I worship myself, so it would be as crazy as Christ worrying if he will go to heaven if his religion was true for me not to go to heaven. Would anybody like to join my religion and be saved?

Greetings! I must say I am shocked at the anger towards Christians on this site. In your opinion, why are we the subject of scorn? What attacks have made you the most mad?

A 'Creationist' argument against evolution is that they claim (incorrectly, but why bother with evidence) there are no links between species. A type of shark that walks on its fins has been found near Indonesia; I say score one for evolutionary theory. Your opinions and comments, please. Is this a missing link which can help discredit Creationist doctrine?

from christianity due to the Fundamentalists that preach fire and brimstone or the robots that just seem to say the same thing to every answer and push their church's website? Ex. "Jesus is Lord! Take a look at my website." I'm only asking about this site. Your thoughts, please.

It seems clear to me that if Christians and Muslims continue to argue, there can never be peace and I am afraid that we will destroy one another. This is my first real step.
I am a person who loves God. I see wisdom in the Bible and I see wisdom in the Quran. People on both sides seem to feel that the other person's scriptures have been badly corrupted. Is there anyone who can see the word of God in spite of the mis-interpretations of men? Does some of the real message of God still exist in these sources? I'm going to try to keep this question open for as long as I can in the hope that an open question can help open minds. It's a challenge: Muslims, what part of the Bible is still the word of God? Christians, what part of the Quran is wisdom from God? Or does one mistake by men negate the whole truth? Hide your identity if you want, get mad at me if it helps you tell the truth, do anything you need to do. The stakes are high. It'sthe future of the world where everyone's children will.

The Rt Rev David Gillan of Bolton... (Not a real Bishop because we are a town not a City and we do not have a Cathedral)

Anyway... B.B.C. North west tonight reports...

That the Bishop of Bolton is lobbying the Supermarkets and shops to stop selling items, such as Masks referring to Halloween... He wishes to have Halloween banned as it is dangerous, and not very Godly!

He believes that it causes instances of violence...

I hold reservations... Halloween is a great day for the kids and adults alike... a time to spend with family and friends.

1... Religious choice seems a lot more dangerous than celebrating Halloween... It causes Wars (Personal thoughts not intended to offend anyone!)

2... The Church would have too in return Stop the celebrations of 'All Saints Day' November the 1st; The day all saints are celebrated for there War on evil, and welcoming in the good!

After all Halloween, is celebrated on All Hallow's Eve!

What are your opinions on Banning Halloween?

Susan is a mute & slightly mentally challenged - unable to speak at all, so her adoptive parents decided to teach her sign language. It was tough at first but she caught on quick enough & was able to indicate her desire, (food, bathroom) her wants (her fav. toy, play time) etc. Once she was older her parents put her in a "home" in which she bonded with another woman named Penny.

Susan later in life got pregnant & miscarried which was traumatic for her. Shortly after, Penny became pregnant and had to go on maternity leave - leaving Susan alone.

She became withdrawn and hated all the other caregivers. When Penny returned Susan snubbed her until Penny had to sign to her that she too lost her baby. Susan signed to her "You are sad, come here and I will hug you" Obviously showing that she understood what had happened to Penny.

This is a true story. Now what if I told you that Susan's real name is Washoe & she is a chimpanzee that was raised in a loving home in suburbia by

I am interested to see what proportion of people would fall into this category.

I know many married couples that were both active before marriage, but (sadly) none that were both virgins.

Regardless of your answer, what effect has this had on your marriage? I have heard that if one person was a virgin, and the other wasn't, this can lead to jealousy and bad feelings (etc). I also have friends (who were both active) that say that they would have had it no other way.

Please note that I am merely curious, I don't mean to tell people how to live their lives or to make them uncomfortable! I know that the Christian viewpoint is to wait until marriage - is that the same for other viewpoints (i.e., Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, etc!), as I honestly don't know many people that consider themselves anything other than Christian?

Thanks for your answers!! :)

Cause I know that theres some not all non-believers who think that some not all believers in God have committed intellectual suicide.

Just asking.

2006-09-18 07:05:11 · 19 answers · asked by Anonymous

OKay why is it that non-believers complain that believers are always "preaching" at them and they hate people trying to force their views on them, but they try to convince believers that what they believe is correct. I am trying to get both sides of the story. Have you experianced this? Am I making an incorrect observation? I am truly curious. I mean when it boils down to it does it matter what i right. Somebody has to be wrong. If the believers are right then Heaven for them, if they are wrong then death for them. It makes no sense. I don't see what you have to lose by believeing, but that is just me.
