Does anyone else find it ironic that, in response to the Pope stating that the Muslim religion breeds or incites violence within it, the Muslims rioted, fire-bombed churches, and generally reinforced the Pope's very words?

Any remember, boys and girls, THESE are the people who WANT to dominate the WORLD!

Imagine the President, Congress, Army, Navy, Police and Judges ALL like them everywhere in the World! Worse, imagine jailers and exeuctioners just like them!

Golly, the last time I saw anything like that was in 1930 at a rally of the NAtional Socialst Party in Germany!

Maybe TV stations need to start screeing Leni Reifenstahl's film "Triumph of the Will" on a regular basis!

The Pope's statement was taken out of context. It was one sentence out of hundreds, where he quoted a discussion between a Byzantine emperor and an Islamic scholar. The Pope was talking about using "reason" in understanding God's desires. The full text of the speech can be found here:

The sentence in question appears early on, probably before the reporters had fallen asleep.

Lets not generalize. I think its the uneducated and uncivilized ones that bomb churches and start those riots over the words of the Pope. I guess they don't know that he is only head of the Roman Catholic church and not the head of all other Christian faiths. And yes it is very ironic!

It's like a "Wife Beating" situation.

When a man is a wife beater he is convincing to his friends and family that he is good and that his wife is a bad animal. Should the wife stand up and say, "In the past you hit me", then he will use this to fuel his anger. As we have seen, the Muslims in the Palestinian area's did lash out and attack. Sure, as always, the wife say's "Deeply Sorry", but he is an angry man is still beating her because he is plagued with the evil one. Violence is his sin.

This is because sin fuels itself with it's lust for its sin.

Listen to the violent words of Muslims: "We shall break the cross and spill the wine ... God will (help) Muslims to conquer Rome ... (May) God enable us to slit their throats, and make their money and descendants the bounty of the mujahideen," said the statement, posted on Sunday on an Internet site often used by al Qaeda and other militant groups. <1>

IT TOOK 8 PAGES TO PRINT: rbmath200 post.
But your question's answer is: they love violence.
But I believe deep down inside they know they are wrong at everything they do. The temper tantrum and murder makes most people back away and since it is in a crowd or they ware masks they can turn another face and be holy holy and supplicate themselves with foolish worship (evil is still in the heart). maybe someday they will pass the Kool-aid around.

I think it was the fact that they themselves misunderstood the context. But imagine if some muslims used the same ideology on the christians, I beleive neo cons would react the same way.
