I'm quite curious to see what can be said about this. First of all, in what language was the Bible revealed in? And secondly, if the Bible is actually the true words of God, then surely, shouldn't it be NOT changed or altered in anyway?

I'm not talking about translating it into different languages. I'm talking about the actual words of the Bible being changed. How do we know what the true word of God is, when it can be changed/interpreted in different ways, and when there are many variations of it?

If enough ice is placed in boiling water it'll cool down. So if millions of people were to enter Hell, wouldn't our comparatively cool bodies soon cool Hell to the point that it's actually comfortable?

If heaven exists, and a person grows up not being told what is right and is wrong, and this person constantly commits sin, is it unfair that this person goes to hell when they weren't even aware of it existing?

God doesn't have a gender, that's ridiculous! First in the bible it says God made man in His own image BEFORE God took the female parts off of Adam and made Eve. So that implies that God is muli gender... but it still makes me wonder. So here's my question: do you guys think that I'm right?

Look at Luke 22v36 and the sword. After all that you believe and learn of my saviour Jesus Christ and His" turn the other cheek." this is an awkward thing to see . It confuses me this statement coming from the Christ, how can one carry a sword and turn the other cheek . Can some one please shed some light on this.

I asked a question like this previously and a lot of the aswers side-stepped the main issue. So...I'll ask it again in a real short consice question so as to get some more pertinent answers.

If Christians followed the same kind of peaceful doctrine that the Quran teaches, wouldn't the crusades have been right in God's eyes.

There are some discrepensies between the NIV and the KJV,

these include but are not limited to:

Leviticus 18:22, KJV uses the word abomination, NIV does not. It uses detestable. This is regarding homosexuality.

Leviticus 25:45, KJV says its ok to have children slaves, NIV say sits ok to have temporary residents as slaves.

So which is the word of God? Am I permitted to have children as my property as it states in the KJV? Or am I bound by the NIV?

Thanks@

the reward of 72 virgins for slaying infidels seems like those virgins are being bought and paid for by perverts who kill for the privilege to rape them. is this sick or what? Allah would never do such a thing to those nice girls.( where does he get them anyway, third grade?) I think those terrorist youths are being lied to and tricked into sin and damnation by clever devils. ALLAH will punish them for their wickedness

Do you think people are going to be more spiritual on their own in the future by knowing more about the universe, and such ? Or do you think it would have to take a disaster, like an asteroid, or some sign in the sky, to make them believe? God loves His people, but they should have the fear of God and His wrath as well. Do they understand that, do you suppose? More than one question, so just answer the first one, and if you want, comment about the other if you want. Some people have made out Christians to be condeming or stupid, etc., but do they realize that God can punish as well as love? Thanks.

Since the various versions disagree on some things, they can't all be correct. That's logically impossible.

And what evidence can you provide that YOUR version is the infallible one, while the others are not?

Saying "the original" writings doesn't help any

If you know anything about "the bible" you know that different versions disagree on which writings should be included in the first place.

It doesn't matter if you're reading the original book of Job, if two versions disagree on whether Job is legitimate.

... and please, unlike last time, back your answer up with some evidence.
I don't want to know that you think that the King James version is the only true word of god, I want to know if you can back that up!

Bring evidence, or don't bother posting an opinion.
