We have that in common also. I was not a parental accident either, and i hear that's kinda rare. But at this point I could be a child of the FSM. Specially since my real parents are fundies and I'm an atheistic pirate. LOL Ramen

I would like to be known as a person who always did the right thing when in a situation. Kind to others, always a smile for someone when they were down. I lend an ear or even a hand when one needs it.
I think I have intentions much like a christian, yet I bear no malice to anyone that believes differently or looks differently than I do.

If I didn't believe in God, I wouldn't want to be known as a person who just jumped on the bandwagon of another fad...

flying spaghetti monster...ok, so that's a religion now?

Well I am a christian so I dont really know. But I think they are just like the children of God. We are know as children of God or as a christian and what ever their beliefe is they have a name for it. It is not a name that someone makes up it is a intended name by the religion.

No.
How can you be of something that which you do not know or cannot believe in?

You can think of yourself as dust and a few pounds of chemicals.
No more no less.

Not very inspiring is it?

Also being intended does not necessarily mean wanted.

Wording can be such a contentious issue.

Maybe this will answer your question:

[John 8:44] You belong to your father the devil and you willingly carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

The fact is that it is irrelevant.

The only relevant fact is that we are here and we should do our best to live our lives to the betterment of all.

It mildly amuses me that so many engage in serious discussions about events over which they have no control and are irrelevant for any practical purpose.

It's similar to standing beside a car debating the origin of the components rather than using the car for its intended purpose.

I prefer to be known for my accomplishments rather than my beliefs.
