From the first glance on the outside it would be just like church (people gathering), however, there would be distinct differences such as; No infused religion, hoops, policies and proceedures to follow, no pressure of giving 10% of money becuase you may already behind on bills and necessities and so forth. No one telling you suck and that you are a SINNER and unless you follow the prescribed and predetermined route of B-L-A-N-K denomination you will end up if hell.

Just a sincere "Come as you are How you are"! Would anyone else besides me considering doing this?

See, while I do not attend church (Of Any Kind) for reasons not important to this question; As a human being, I do miss the fellowship, gathering and meeting of people on a level that has no agenda. Just hanging out, perhaps drinking a cup of coffee, letting family and kids mix with one another and building a support system all the while having fun.

Bottom Line - It is church with religion; Would You Go?

I just read a question posted by Searcher and part of it stated: "This makes the Wiccans/Pagans/Agnostics/Buddi... look like the intelligent, loving people instead of the Christians." Of course, people got all in a huff about it because SOMEHOW that quoted statement means that Wiccans and Agnostics are not loving. She never said that. Quit jumping to conclusions, please! Do you think everyone's out to get you or something? Stop twisting words around. How can you be smart enough to operate a computer and somehow not be smart enough to read and understand the question being asked?

How many of you regret your answers? I am truly sorry for my sarcasm. Sarcasm in the greek means cutting at the skin. So if I cut or hurt you in any way, I apologize.
Some people are just mean spirited.

just because you do not believe in God it doesn't mean that people who do are wrong or stupid, its just that their views differ, why try and change them, it does no harm to you or anyone else.

And before you start berating me for being some sort of religious nut, i'm not, im actually an atheist.

For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11:1-3

Others have questions of evidence of God.

First of all, I know that this does not apply to every Christian out there, and if you are responding in love, THANK YOU!

Just within the past two screens of questions, I've seen Muslims bashed with horrible hateful statements...then I've seen the typical Christian bashing by the non-Christians and the Christians getting self-righteous and then responding back with questions worded to provoke othersl...And guess what?

This makes the Wiccans/Pagans/Agnostics/Buddists look like the intelligent, loving people instead of the Christians. And they are LAUGHING and more and more convinced that we're just a bunch of hypocrites.

If a post makes you angry, why not just skip over it? Do you really think that every other person on this website will be looking to see if you reply? They just look at you as a representative of Christianity THE RELIGION. Let them see Christ in your response.

Are you trying to prove you are right, or do you want to show God's love to them?

I will not bore the most cynical of us (take your two points and move on).

But for those of us who remain, whether theist or atheist, regardless of what power you worship or recognize, regardless of how you explain it, we all recognize a power called "Love" that moves us to sacrifice ourselves for the sake of another.

To put this in the lexicon of christianity (the religion I'm most familiar with and my apologies for mangling this quote) "for god so loved humanity that he sacrificed his only begotten son on the cross so that they might be saved". Even a god must follow the dictates of Love and surrender a part of himself for those he loves.

I want you to focus on someone you love, or have loved, intensely. I want you to imagine the worst hell possible, and place your beloved smack dab in the middle of it. I want you to ask yourself, would you risk all, your body, your soul, your life, would you give it all if it were the only hope your beloved had to escape that hell?

Why?

I am proud to be an atheist. I am also a moral, giving, generous person who considers others everywhere and work for the good of other people what ever religion or race. But luckily for me I do not need a God to be good! I was once brainwashed by religion but then thought about the absurdity of it and made my own decision to be atheist.

The Energy here is incredible, we read one anothers quetions and answers, and have follow up Quetions. These themes last for hours on end.

Have you noticed this with Theists, where they run with a theme and pack togehter as we have? If they haven't why do you think that is that atheist and agnostics are more "bonded"
