First of all, I know that this does not apply to every Christian out there, and if you are responding in love, THANK YOU!
Just within the past two screens of questions, I've seen Muslims bashed with horrible hateful statements...then I've seen the typical Christian bashing by the non-Christians and the Christians getting self-righteous and then responding back with questions worded to provoke othersl...And guess what?
This makes the Wiccans/Pagans/Agnostics/Buddists look like the intelligent, loving people instead of the Christians. And they are LAUGHING and more and more convinced that we're just a bunch of hypocrites.
If a post makes you angry, why not just skip over it? Do you really think that every other person on this website will be looking to see if you reply? They just look at you as a representative of Christianity THE RELIGION. Let them see Christ in your response.
Are you trying to prove you are right, or do you want to show God's love to them?

I'm not saying the other religions don't have intelligent people, but I'm saying that the Christians look bad in contrast. Sorry but I reworded that quesiton several times and had my words cut off at the end and part of that sentence was deleted.
My apologies.

Good point. Dispute and arguing are tools of the devil. Informed Christians will know the traps and avoid getting sucked in.

I could not agree with you more!!! I have learned to think twice before I respond to a question only because I don't want my answer to be a bad testimony of my faith. If it something Bible based, I will answer truthfully regardless of what someone thinks of it. But if it is my personal opinion, I try to guard my words carefully. Sometimes, I may be joking around, but I try and make sure others know this.
Anyways, there is too much bashing of everyone here. I try to show people God's love for them. It is up to them if they decide that I am right. It is not my job to prove my point, just to state the case.

The problem is the same as it's always been through out time, one religion always thinks they are better than the other and feels the need to insult the other religions to feel better about themselves and their beliefs. You are right about it making them look stupid. It's a shame that the Bible talks about loving your enemy as yourself but there are Christians that overlook that and instead start a war. If more Christians would follow through with loving their enemies than I think more people would be interested in Christianity and wouldn't call all of us hypocrites.

"This makes the Wiccans/Pagans/Agnostics/Buddi... look like the intelligent, loving people"
Are you saying they aren't? What's wrong with Agnostics? Or Buddhists?
Edit: Oh, OK, I see what you mean... just wanted clarification. And I agree with everything, by the way.

So PLEASE my fellow true children of Christ can we please do this the way that God wants us to and the way that Jesus was able to? Yes I as an agnostic am laughing, even at the popes recent bashing of Islam, it's kind of like him saying, even while the messengers of Catholicism are molesting little boys, we have it right.

It is very hard as a Christian to let people say nasty mean things about us, and not react.
