Yes, you're right. But I have an idea. Instead of regret, why not take the opportunity to learn something about yourself. You can look through questions and answers and find out what scares you or makes you angry. You can find the places where your emotions begin to get out of your control. Then you can practice saying what you really want to say without getting out of control. Notice the delete button on your keyboard. Notice the two-stage process to submit an answer on this site. Type freely, say what you want to say, then read it. If it still says what you want to say, click "preview". Then read it again. Is it really your best answer? If so, click "submit". If not, try again.
Your apology shows that you have the guts to improve yourself, so the next step isn't a huge one.
Do I need to tell you how to make a mean person meaner? It's by arguing with them. I'm sure you also know something about how to de-fuse a conflict by not fighting.
Growing only hurts for a minute, then it feels really good.
Oh, and checking your grammar, punctuation and speeeling for maximum clarity is also,a good... thing as well, too. Or something like that.

Yes, people act like @ssholes to get attention and get a rise out of others. Personally I am not a fan of sarcasm it is just a way to try and look smart when really all you are doing is belittling others. It doesn't make you look witty it makes you look very obnoxious. Not you, just sarcastic people in general.

sometimes sarcasm is missed at the point!
No need to apologize, as there are probably no persons here that have not responded in kind!
For me personally? I have not one regret over the way I have answered even one question.

I say derogatory things about religions to show that they aren't above being scrutinized. It isn't my intention to anger people, just to show that what they believe about religion doesn't deserve any more respect than what someone believes about politics.
If i criticize George Bush, even his supporters realize that i have a right to do that, but if i criticize Jesus some of his supporters think that i have no right to do that.

No, not really. It is not anger but my opinion. Specifically, when dealing with religion everyone has a different outlook. However, you are correct in saying that sarcasim does mean "Cutting of the flesh".

I agree. People will never be swayed by derogatory remarks so it is a waste of typing.

This is the favorite ploy of dems.. to prevent having discussion of a topic. Particularly if they have no answers to a problem.

I believe that some part of our psyche expresses itself in small doses,(in which we derive a certain pleasure in) making others squirm, and I think that most of us keep a tighter rein on that than others.

The whiny little kids who get all emotionally really should go somewhere safe and read their Highlights books. That includes the adult kids.
