Easy. They are bonded to an invisible sky pixie who's rule book has many fine points of contradiction that naturally devide them in the interpretations they choose individually. We, share several common beliefs. One of the most important is that of humanity and it's fragile nature. We agree that what happens after we die is either nothing or an unknown that forces us to make the most of our lives here and now. We cherish eachother more, since we know that we will probably only have this lifetime, this moment in which to reach out to eachother in friendship and love. Religious people, instead, are storing up love and wasteing it on the sky pixie while hopeing for a return on it in some rosey afterlife someday. Peace and Love, ramen to all

Maybe we are more bonded because we are kinda out on the fringe of society. Surely, there are more Christians in this country than us. And on Y/A too, for that matter.
Interesting thought about the run with a theme. We do it to back each other up. We do not all believe the same, but we all respect each others beliefs. You would think that since they are more closely bonded by the same beliefs that they would stick together more.

Maybe the Theists are unwilling to open their minds to new ideas, and so they avoid any discussions which may lead to the possibility of their beliefs being disputed. They may also feel that their beliefs can be shaken because there is no real proof that their beliefs are correct.
Atheists, agnostics, Wiccans, etc. are more comfortable in their beliefs, and more sure of the religions, or lack of. Therefore, they don't feel threatened by heated discussions, and are willing to examine all sides of an issue before making a decision as to whether it be right or wrong.

To much division among the Theists, and dissension even in one group. Just look at the TV Evangelists. Agnostics are what I would call Spiritualists, and each can have their own idea, and still be right. Different thoughts are allowed outside the Christian Church's. And in the Christian church's even in a group of church's (Baptist, Methodist, etc.) interpretation of the bible may vary.

Girl Wonder's right. The theists are all too busy berating each other's imaginary version of reality to develop any significant community spirit. You'd think whynotaskdon hates his fellow-Christian catholics more than he hates us, for example.
On the other hand, I've never seen an atheist or agnostic 'bashing' another here in Answers (except perhaps a mock question of yours I saw about strong agnostics vs weak agnostics :-) )

Christians have all the answers handed to them by their religious leaders. Once they have found an appropriate question on which to paste their church approved responses; their mission is complete.
Atheists and agnostics seek answers from the world at large and from each other. Without the certainty of religious doctrine, they must rely on their own wisdom and experiences. They have more interest-and get more satisfaction-in forming social networks.

mainly because fact far out weighs faith....sharing proven scientific fact has a stronger bond than sharing an unproven myth. Science also provides more answers than religion so athiest and agnostic's have far more to add to the conversation/debate.

I think we have enough respect to discuss even when we disagree and that makes for better camaraderie. We know that we can disagree with one another without getting our knickers in a twist.

Cause we are right and we can get along with each other even if we don't believe the exact same thing. Chrsitian's don't like Catholics, Baptists don't like the mormons, etc etc...they are all divided and make it easier for us to conquer!
