For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11:1-3

Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see. Contemporary English Version

This is NOT a definition of faith!!!!!!!!!

It is telling us what happens to us as we trust in God. The more we trust in God the more we begin to find evidence that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Every day I see more and more things that happen in my life that make my faith stronger and stronger, whether it be nature, or people showing Christ's love or evidence from archaeology or answers to prayer.

Faith is believing in something that you cant see or touch. Something that people try and take from you by stating evidence against. But with Faith you dont need anyone elses opinions, you know its true. Inside of you, you believe. And believing and having faith in God, no matter what, is the most beautiful and amazing thing you can have.

wish is wishing something is actual or would be actual. faith is understanding something is actual with out any achievable reason what so ever. a minimum of that's what you assert once you're saying you have faith. you in all probability do in simple terms no longer understand the reason(s). perception - is thinking something is actual (or in all probability actual) for a reason, often a logical or empirical reason. human beings often confuse the three words. so which you want them to stipulate what they propose while they use between the words. they are mutually unique. wish means you do no longer understand, yet want a undeniable end. faith means you do understand, yet have no reason. on a similar time as perception means you know in line with a reason. faith with the aid of definition is illogical and not a healthful training amassing gadget. back, keep in mind a lot of human beings interchange those words so which you're able to be able to desire to understand in the event that they have a looser definition.

The evidence is not enough to convince some, they will need to have their flesh removed by violence in order to believe.

To those who do believe, hope does not disappoint. Praise God!

The two verses are not contradictory. They are two ways of saying the same thing.

No.

Faith (wishful, magical thinking) is a substitute for evidence... and serves as the basis for 'belief'.

'Belief' is a substitute for knowledge.

faith + belief = willful ignorance and self-delusion
